Gobbinjr has always been meticulous, and well, different. After the projects formation ten years ago multi-instrumentalist and producer Emma Witmer released three expansive hyper bedroom pop albums. Then, 8 years of relative silence. A few singles throughout the time showed that gobbinjr was working on something different.After working on her production skills gob has moved toward a humor balanced by deep insight, both sonically and lyrically— Witmer has developed more emotional range than ever before. The new single “Just a dream” comes in with a completely new sound from the jump. Rich synth balanced with deep lyricism tied together with absurd samples makes for a wholly new spectrum to explore with gobbinjr. After years of grime and grind, gob is back with a sound that is deeply moving.
