If the children are indeed the future, then 16-year-old International Music Group (IMG)/CP Records recording artist Tyler Medeiros is history in the making. Well on his way to reinventing the sound, feel and look of popular music, this multi-talented teen phenomenon hums like Sunday morning sermons, dances like his name was Jackson and is a natural thespian on stage, TV or the big screen. Discovered by multi-platinum superstar Flo Rida, Medeiros has been a household name in his native Canada for some time now via a handful of regional hit singles. Now after melting snowcaps north of the border, Medeiros is readying to take America by storm with a batch of hot singles coming back to back throughout the year including the soon to be released “Got It Bad.” “I just feel blessed to be in the position I’m in,” says Medeiros. “I knew I had something that the people wanted. But to get the recognition from someone like Flo Rida is just amazing. I’m going to continue making the best music that I can make and give the fans more of what they want to hear.” Already drawing early comparisons to multi-platinum superstars like Usher and Justin Timberlake for his advanced songwriting abilities as well as dancing and acting chops, Tyler was initially discovered by CP Records executive Tony Sal, who groomed the young artist into greatness over the past few years. Together, they won over Canadian audiences with runaway hits like “Say I Love You (Please Don’t Go)” featuring Young Money Records artist Lil Twist and “Girlfriend” featuring Danny Fernandes. But the future superstar didn’t get that extra added boost needed to take him through the stratosphere until pop icon Flo Rida stumbled across some of Tyler’s videos on YouTube. After meeting one another and seeing Tyler’s drive and ambition, Flo decided to make him one of the marquee artists on his own label International Music Group. Flo Rida has sold more than 40 million singles worldwide. His latest hit “Good Feeling” recently reached Number 1 on Billboard charts along with single “Wild Ones” featuring Sia already climbing to number one in several countries including Australia and New Zealand. Flo recently turned his attention to developing new talent. “I see Medeiros as the ideal artist to represent IMG,” says Flo. “He appeals to fans of all ages.
