Sons of Frankenstein

S.O.F. are a Rhode Island based punk rock band raised on the old school and coming to life in the new. Like the body parts that Dr. Frankenstein fused to create life, we have joined forces to make a monster. With an obvious reverence and respect for the fathers of punk rock like Sex Pistols, Dead Kennedys, and Black Flag, Sons of Frankenstein are carrying on the tradition of irreverent, anti-establishment, in-your-face punk/hardcore/metal that defined the genres at their pinnacle in the 80's and early 90's and even to this very day. Small live music venues are the laboratory of these mad scientists. Each live performance is an experiment in order & chaos, humor & anger, and music & madness. The thunder begins to rumble as the first notes of 'Fugensteinstomp' are picked on the bass. Then seemingly in the distance, the drums join in and the cracks become louder until finally, lightning rains down when the first chords are struck that awaken the crowd. An instantaneous metamorphosis takes place on the floor. Like monsters who have just broken through the leather straps that once confined them to gurneys, bodies are pulsing with new life as if under the control of an unseen force.
