About Chris Fritz-Grice
I was born and raised in Chicago, til the age of 11. While in the Mid-West, I lived with my dad and mom separately. I lived in 7 different apartments, went to 4 different schools and, finally started rapping at the age of 9 to deal wit the negativity. I moved to Massachusetts with my dad in 03, and when I got there, my love of Hip Hop was shared by others. I continued to form rap groups, namely, ECP, then Endeva, and finally Hipnotik. Life was cool then, but in 07, when I was 16, I stopped making music, and life kinda veered after that. Graduated high school and went to Salem State where I met some good ppl, took some really good classes, and was part of the musical community there. People had always asked me if I rapped, and I would say na, I didn't do it anymore. Then, int the summer of '10, I decided to start rappin' again, but this time as a freestyle artist. Freestyling is an art, and is a great way to meet people, which is what I did in the fall of '10 when I transferred to the New England Institute of Art. Freestyle was a way to really prove ya skills as a rapper. One day, inspiration hit me hard, and I just took a pencil to a piece of paper real hard and haven't looked back. Now I write rhymes and freestyle as part of my art, furthermore singing and playing guitar have become a huge part of my craft.
