Deschamp

Hilarious, fun, and sexy, often describes Ricky Deschamp, the former lead singer of the catchy horror punk band “Head Casket”. His honest lyrics and catchy melodies have kept his fans singing along one song after the other. Now embarking on a solo career Deschamp is carving a name for himself once again.

Born in the Philippines and raised in Santa Cruz most of his life he has always wanted to show his musical creativity, from doing karaoke at bar and clubs to singing contest and other competitions. As a skater kid he was always surrounded by bands and music often going to shows and demos as he grew from a Sinatra-esque karaoke singer, into a heavy lyric driven pop punk artist he is today.

Driven by his major punk rock influences, Deschamp wanted to start a band. In 2012 as “Ricky Ticky Tavi and the Kobras”, a Punk/Jazz group with a “Rat Pack meets Misfits” vibe. Teaching himself the guitar, he began writing songs that was to later became the Head Casket / Deschamp sound.

In 2013 he officially formed Head Casket described as “romantic horror punk with a lot of class.” via horror-punks.com. Pushing for a pop punk catchy direction rather than the often heavy melodic sound horror punk usually is. He has become an artist to keep your eye out for. After only 7 months with Head Casket, two tours and a debut EP later Deschamp wanted more. In Late 2013 Deschamp moved to the northwest, to pursue a solo career. Still saying true to himself he has been showcasing his songwriting talent at every show he plays, and as always everyone who sees him live often leave humming his tunes.

In early 2015 Deschamp was signed to indie label, FM Inc. and is currently in the recording studio working on his first full length album. With a national tour planned this year, DESCHAMP and FM Inc are hard at work crafting his next single that will ring true with his current followers of DESCHAMPIONS and hook in new fans from all over North America and the world!
