Kataleptic

Kataleptic formed in '08 in Birmingham, England with the aim of making pure, unrelenting, Death Metal. The band quickly formed a following in the Midlands playing the local pubs and clubs as well as recording and releasing two demos between '09 and '10. The band was also featured in Terrorizer Magazine's Grindhouse compilation. From here the band has played shows up and down the UK, securing supporting slots with extreme metal luminaries such as Nile, Anaal Nathrakh, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Blood Red Throne, Defeated Sanity, Cerebral Bore, Dyscarnate, Ulcerate, Benediction, Desecration and Amputated to name a few. In 2012 the band released it's EP, Through The Eyes Of Carnality, and shortly afterwards was picked to play the prestigious New Blood stage at Bloodstock Open Air festival. In 2013, after 5 years of service, Kataleptic parted ways with vocalist Matt Walton. Matt was replaced by guitarist Dan Benton, who switched from guitar/vocals to a vocal-only position. Replacing Dan came Edd Reay, a talented guitarist who will complete the new line-up! Brutal Birmingham Death Metal
