Evan Sherman

Founded in 2014, the NYC-based, 16-piece Evan Sherman Big Band consists of up-and-coming young lions alongside a rotating cast of seasoned veterans and guests. As they continue their two and a half year residency at Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola's late night dance parties, the band headlined at the 2017 Perth International Arts Festival. Past appearances have been at Lincoln Center's Midsummer Night Swing, the Appel Room, the Rainbow Room, Ginny's Supper Club, The Django, Bowery Electric, and Caramoor Jazz Festival - where they premiered an original piece of jazz theater, "A Story of Patience". 23 year-old drummer, bandleader, composer/arranger, Evan Sherman has played all over the world with Ron Carter, Cyrus Chestnut, Roy Hargrove. Jimmy Heath, Branford and Wynton Marsalis, James Moody, Jon Batiste and the Dizzy Gillespie All Stars.
