About TMULE

TMULE has explored songwriting for the past 25 years. Many of his songs have been used as the backbone and sound of the band The Longest Day of the Year. However, his songwriting reaches far beyond the full-frontal folk-rock of TLDOTY and reaches into the smaller quiet spaces of your heart and mind.

TMULE is a librarian at heart, a creature of exploration and empathy with a penchant for folk melody, rock music, and literature. He takes his story and examines life through those experiences. He folds and unfolds each moment into a space and time to relate to through contrast and clarity. Through creation and collapse. Through ruin and redemption. TMULE strives to dig deep and feel out stories of love, dreams of life, visions of longing and loss.

After 2 full band LPs with The Longest Day of the Year since 2012 ("Turn Into the Ground" and "Carapace") and over a thousand shows, strummed and bellowed, from Boston to Fort Collins, t.Mule has started work on his first solo EP in 10 year with the Fort Collins solo musician and producer Justin Roth. He plans to release the solo EP ("Worldless Lullabies") and a poetry book ("Book of Dawn") in 2016.

His band The Pants (alongside Jason Heystek and some other silly fools) has gained an underground cult following when their classic hit "Tractor to the Moon" got a few seconds of fame on Steve Terreberry's YouTube channel... according to Steve, The Pants is the best band name on Spotify. If you like freak rock and weirdos... dig in!
