About FEMUR
Since their formation in Sheffield in 2016, FEMUR have unleashed a ferocious deluge of music, captivating audiences and embodying “the bewildering, hook-filled, psych grunge onslaught we’ve come to expect” (Exposed Magazine, 2023).
The 4-piece’s very first single ‘Spook’ (2017), followed closely by their seminal first EP ‘In Your Belly’ (2018) were an unbridled explosion of raw, primal grunge that solidified FEMUR as a blasting noise to be reckoned with, their shows up and down the country featuring the likes of heavy rockers The Wytches.
This pattern continued into 2020 with blistering single ‘Misery Express’ (2020) heading up the soundtrack to the FEMUR’s first fully-fledged UK tour, seeing them take to the stage with brutal black-country mainstays God Damn and cosmic French trio SLIFT; followed by a second tour in support of debut album ‘People Parts’ (2022) which was laced with kaleidoscopic psych-rock, “post-punk on acid”, “garage taken to an illogical extent” (Local Sound Focus, 2020).
Now heading into 2024, FEMUR have finally broken free from the grasp of the UK and will be spilling over into Europe for the first time this April. Their new single ‘Tell Me You’re Running’ is a potent cocktail of garage punk and trademark psychedelia, taken from the band’s chaotic upcoming EP ‘Snake Rock’. The signature aggression and visceral energy of FEMUR live shows has already created an ever-growing reputation in the UK and shows no signs of stopping once it sets foot on the continent.
