About This Tragic Day

There growls an animal in the belly of Memphis, TN. Growing in strength, power and battering determination, with the destruction of a shower of Triton Missiles in its path, the beast that is This Tragic Day has immerged. Teeth glimmering, dripping with venomous saliva and claws slashing at any stage and venue it chooses to devour, This Tragic Day is the savage that pangs a stabbing strike in the side of Heavy Metal. Shaped by six individual members, This Tragic Day delivers a death blow, a strike that only a true monster can deliver. A six-headed Hydra, This Tragic Day has become golden through the alchemic mixture of Stephen Freeman’s grinding bass battery, David Soard and Thomas Clements’ dual guitar onslaught, held together by Dustin Bryant‘s chest thumping, pulse altering drums, and the vocal duo of the soulful melodies of Jase Harshman and throat ripping screams of Matt Mages. With members stemming out from past Memphis and Arkansas bands ranging from the Alternative and Modern Rock bands Finding Jimmy Hoffa, Remain the Same and Inner 61, to straight forward Metal, Dis-Missile, Disembrace, and The Suffering, on through progressive/melodic Rock, Arvada, to Metalcore bands Blister Agent and My Surrender, This Tragic Day is built for a Heavy Metal bludgeoning like no other. This Tragic Day is well seasoned with an impressive resume under their belt. Having opened in direct support of bands such as All That Remains, Hollywood Undead, Hatebreed, (HeD)p.e., Shinedown, and Otep, just to name a few, this is one band who is poised to strike. They are the beginning and the end. They are not the thunder or lightning. They are the storm. They are not Dracula, Werewolf, or Frankenstein. They are the Monster, This Tragic Day. If rock and metal met over a bottle of Jack this would be its bastard child. http://www.thistragicday.com
