About Cosmic Blaster

Cosmic Blaster is made up of two musicians, Jamil Burgol and Dennis Aoun. They began creating music together in the fall of 2014. Jamil came from an electronic based background usually performing solo. While Dennis came from the jam band scene performing with many different bands, some of which reaching national success. Dennis Aoun picked up the sticks when he was thirteen years old. It soon became clear that he had a proclivity for hard-hitting, energy-packed drumming with interlaced dance grooves. Dennis was a part of many bands growing up. He was first drawn to the extreme sounds found in today's death-metal. But it was soon after that he found himself lured into the cerebral sounds of psychedelic rock. While proving himself a true professional behind the kit, he has also branched out and honed his skills as an auxiliary percussionist. With hundreds of studio sessions, shows, tours, and festivals under his belt, he is certainly no stranger to the world of music. An unquenchable thirst for something new has always kept his drive alive. Allowing for Dennis to pull from multiple styles and genres across the musical spectrum. All of which, incorporated into his drumming heard today from Cosmic Blaster. Jamil Burgol was drawn to music at an early age. He began playing the piano when he was ten years old. However, by the age twelve he found himself reeled into the sounds and melodies that could be achieved by none other than the guitar. With two instruments added to his arsenal his writing took to a new direction, one with no boundaries in sight. Over the years, the self taught musician studied different music heard throughout the world. Taking a high influence from modern electronic and jam sounds. However, still to this day he is taking practice in every style he comes across. From jazz to metal and everything in between no stone is left unturned. It'd be a safe bet to assume this drive and experimentation will carry on until the end of time. Instead of jamming with others in his early years he started using programs to create and loop sounds. His years spent studying the guitar, the piano, and learning how to use different digital audio workshops would lead him into the unique sounds heard from Cosmic Blaster today. Although always growing and experimenting on their own the duo found themselves unsatisfied with their musical directions until finding each other in the fall of 2014. With the fusion in full force, watch for the waves caused by Cosmic Blaster's launch. Cosmic Blaster is a unique fusion of today's electronic and jam band scenes, bringing you the best of both worlds and sending you to new ones.
