About Lancer Roscoe

Hailing from the Hills of Thousand Oaks, CA, Lancer Roscoe serves to provide danceable alt rock in the studio and at live shows. Lancer Roscoe got their start as a local band in 2015 playing live shows as a four piece with current members Caleb Arndt (guitar), Torrance Klein (bass), and David Cheung (guitar).

Caleb and Tory grew up childhood friends first starting to make music together in high school. Many of Lancer Roscoe’s songs performed live between 2015-2017 were songs written by the duo in their high school and early college years. Later in 2016 Lancer Roscoe became a five piece by adding Riley Herrera on lead vocals, in hopes to explore deeper into vocal harmonies, and to free up some space for Caleb to dive into the world of synthesis with his Stratocaster and OP-1.

After months of recording and mixing at i58 Studios in Westlake Village, Lancer Roscoe independently released their debut Ep “Yes and No” featuring fan favorites “Drive Home” and “Onto”. Lancer Roscoe played a handful of local and big gig shows in 2016-17 including The Whiskey a Go-Go, Rock City Studios, and Molly Malone’s. Lancer Roscoe’s current form had taken shape in 2017 by adding on drummer, Lucas Frankel.

Since having Lucas hold down the beat, LR has gotten busy with a new emphasis on recording, releasing two singles “I’ve Waited” and “Todd Gurley” and live recorded album “Montana”. Lancer Roscoe has grown over the years jumping between spacey, guitar-heavy alt rock (Space People/Drive Home), to acoustic folk (Traveler), to bossa nova (Don’t Wait For Your Plan), and psychedelic pop (Todd Gurley).

LR’s mission is to make music that any one can appreciate and groove to whether you are a music theory snob or a casual listener. We want to make music that will inspire and provoke, create joy and sadness, to make the listener think or not have to think at all.
