Duran Duran

From the moment it was announced that this gig was going ahead I knew that I was about to witness something special. The night was amazing, fans on the tram, dressed up in costume and buzzing with anticipation. No support, rightly so, as this should be 100% Duran Duran. Instead, spooky, old Halloween songs accompanied and old silent film followed by the making of Danse Macabre documentary. The lights went down and the band appeared to the scary instrumental track Masque of the Pink Death. Night Boat, Friends of Mine and a brand new (this week) version of Shadows on Your Side, deep cut album tracks. The covers sound like Duran Duran songs and Secret Oktober 31st gave me goose pimples as soon as I heard the music box opening to it. Crowd pleasing hits, the darker themed ones had accompanying AI generated videos (the spooky, reworking of the Rio video well worth searching out on YouTube). No Ordinary World, as it wouldn’t have fitted in with this set) but the first time I haven’t heard it at a Manchester gig since ‘89 when it hadn’t been written yet. The dancers enhanced the atmosphere as did the bass player from Maneskin. An excellent, fun night.

An AMAZING NIGHT at the co op live arena in manchester.seeing the amazing duran duran doing their halloween danse macabre tour This is the first time they have done it in the uk as ithey usually do it in the u.s Lots of fun music dancing hits and old hits reworked and new tracks . We wasnt disappointed .5 stars for them . Simon s voice has got better with age. AS are the others in the band john nick the girls and all the band made it a fantastic halloween to remember . 2 hours of great music if they could have done most other hits too they would have been onstage at least 6 hours. Oh the joys if that would happen . Lets hope they do it again here next halloween in the uk. ROLL on more new stuff and more classic rare stuff for the future . Long live DURAN DURAN 🎵🎶🥁🎹🎧🎤🎸🎷 .

I come from a family of serious musicians, so I’ve always been first & foremost a fan of Duran Duran’s joyful music and not necessarily a die hard fan of the individuals. All in all a 5/10 experience for me. 😬 I actually enjoyed their July concert in Essex much better, I found it to be much more JOYFUL & a total party atmosphere with everyone dancing from the very beginning (and I did arrive AFTER Nile Roger’s). The musical mood last night was quite dark; the new added visuals showing all about trapped people, blood, killings, the devil, babies and more blood rituals. I personally am not a fan of Halloween (which it’s on 31/10, not 26/10) and if I was, I would have chosen to travel to Manchester instead of Nottingham, all the way from London. 😬 In my personal view, last night there was no JOY of ‘getting up from your seat & dance care-free’ UNTIL they played The Reflex, towards the end. I kept observing the audience to see if it was just me. Nope, 95% of the arena were sitting down. (I have 3 detailed videos of the whole audience to prove it). I also felt -as there was no large side screens- there was not much rapport with the audience during most of the concert, until the end when they requested to sing HBday to Simon & they mentioned Nottingham. The band/ promoters would benefit from investing in having those large screens in arenas, which show the musician’s close ups and expressions, smiles and complicity, which make a big difference when the audience is watching from the distance. Last night I basically enjoyed the last 20 mins of a 2hr concert. I’ll certainly take those 20 joyful mins as a good memory to have, but I personally won’t be travelling 200miles & investing all that money again to see if I enjoy their live music. I’ll happily keep dancing to the CDs at home, which is great. Simon’s singing was not as good as in the July concert (he sounded as if he was poorly, if so I sincerely hope he feels better soon).

I was at your place for the first time. The show was excelent, I managed to get to the second concert. It was my first time in Switzerland. I only knew your hall from TV. We were a group of friends who had been listening to Duran Duran music Theory whole lives. So we really enjoyed it. We´ve heard that your hall has the best sound in Europe. After visiting, I can only confirm that. Very nice city, beautiful hall, excelent sound, amazing atmosphere. Another big surprise for me on that it was filmed and will be broadcast on television. So I will relive the atmosphere. And since I was right next to the stage at both concerts, I believe I will see myself on television as well. You will recognize me by the Slovak flag, which I raised above my head about 3 time before the end of the show. My final conclusion is that everything we could see, hear, experiens and see with our own eyes confirmed the rumors that you are one of the few places where the quality of the environment, amazing soud and the selection of quality performers are still taken into account. best regards Ivan Ostrihoň

Duran Duran were brilliant. I've never been a huge fan however, their performance was in point - they're pure entertainers. The musicianship was great too. Would definitely see them again. However, I've not given 5 stars due to the venue which which impacted my overall experience and memory of the night. On a rainy day security were quite heavy handed in trying to confiscate my friend's mini umbrella. My Smints were even taken away which is absolutely ridiculous! It didn't bother me too much, but it felt like they were making a point of taking away little comforts from people who'd paid hard earned money for their tickets. The prohibited objects info was not made clear enough on ticket info or on the Ticketmaster App. Finally the car parking was a nightmare - what seemed to be alack of real planning resulted in a very long wait to get out of the car park of a relatively small venue. I have exited Glastonbury quicker by car, which tells you how bad the planning must've been.

We’re still bathing in the after glow after the Epic gig at Powderham castle in Exeter. Soo very pleased we got to see the legend that is Nile Rogers & Chic who played an absolutely blinding set (same as Glastonbury on BBC iplayer) & Duran were of course outstanding & awesome as ever!! Recovery from our hoarse voices & aching limbs is a testament to an incredible night. I danced & sang to every song. Loved the venue & we had no issues as we arrived early before gate drop, (which I definitely recommend). Speedy food service & time to relax in the sunshine, all toilets were clean. We were lucky finding our car straight away & got back home at 3am. It took us total 2hours to get out onto the motorway (including the 30min walk to the car park), plenty of traffic stewards & then 2hours drive home but was Sooo totally worth it.

Tuttavia, penso che nelle prime 4 canzoni la chitarra elettrica si sentisse poco (i tecnici del suono ci devono lavorare: forse l'amplificatore Laney non è una scelta giusta). Durante l'esecuzione di Wild Boys c'è stata un'improvvisa interruzione del suono. Purtroppo non hanno suonato The Chauffer e New Religion. Comunque, avanti così ragazzi I saw Duran Duran for the first time in my life in Rome on June 15, 2025 at Circo Massimo. I thought they were magnificent. However, I think that in the first 4 songs the electric guitar was barely audible (the sound engineers need to work on it: maybe the Laney amplifier is not the right choice). During the performance of Wild Boys there was a sudden interruption of the sound. Unfortunately they did not play The Chauffer and New Religion. Anyway, keep it up guys

Unfortunately it was a complete seated concert, for me there was not the atmosphere I expected. Next time I will not buy such a ticket anymore or choose another venue. There were no screens at the side of the stage, no close ups. A way back in the Sportpaleis the sight was not optimal. The mix of the sound was sometimes a bit of a blur but it went much better along the set. The price of the ticket was high, but I wanted to go anyway. The light went out during the last 2 or 3 songs. The band played till the end at a very high level. Even tough the voice of Simon was leaving him. Such a shame but that is something you cannot controle. I was very pleased to see them after 17 years, so that is why I enjoyed it so much.

I had a blast seeing Duran Duran! I have to mention my disappointment though at the seat prices. I went online when the event went on sale and sadly knew I wouldn’t be going. $750 to $1,000 + a ticket. Most of these all became resale tickets of course and the priced went up. I continued to check every day anyway up until the day before the show. The venue released single seats along the side of the theatre and I didn’t have to pay too many extra fees and ended up closer to the stages. For some reason I feel like a lot of guests attending were there because they were comped from g******g. It didn’t seem like everyone there was familiar with the songs. I was really hoping to hear more songs from their new album, but they only played a few.. Because I’m a fan, I have heard the popular Duran songs over and over for the last 40 years. I still had a really great time though, and I am happy that I attended.

I've waited years to see Duran Duran live, and their show on July 30th was everything I hoped it would be and more! The band was in top form, with Simon Le Bon's vocals sounding as strong as ever and John Taylor’s basslines thundering through the venue. The setlist was a perfect mix of their biggest hits like 'Rio' and 'Hungry Like the Wolf,' along with some deeper cuts that had the die-hard fans cheering. The stage production was fantastic, with dynamic lighting and visuals that perfectly complemented their energetic performance. The jumbotrons were a lifesaver, allowing everyone to catch the action, even from the back. The crowd was electric, singing along to every word and dancing like it was the 80s all over again. One of my personal highlights was when they played 'Ordinary World'—a song that has always held a special place in my heart. Overall, this concert reinforced my love for the band and reminded me why Duran Duran is still one of the best live acts out there. I’d see them again in a heartbeat! P.S.: Ignore that one dude's big ole noggin' "messing up" the shot that I shared...there's always at least one such a****t.

Nile Rodgers and Chic were absolutely amazing! So many songs he has written and produced that many fans weren't aware of! Not only did they play what we would expect to hear, but so many other famous toe-tapping tunes! What a way to start the evening! Then came Bastille... and honestly, I only knew of them through others... but I very much enjoyed their set, as well, and will be looking up their music to download. What a treat they were! Finally, Duran Duran comes down in a virtual spaceship and blew everyone away! Followed by "Hungry Like the Wolf" and a host of other 80s hits, intermingled with later music and their newest soon-to-be hits, the musical talent and showmanship is unrivaled. And to say that they haven't missed a beat is an understatement! Not one note was in error. Everything was spectacular, and I can only say that I hope they were recording for a future live video release! Ultimately, Red Rocks is the absolute best venue in the world! This was my first time to visit, and it did NOT disappoint! Even the 15-minute rain shower couldn't dampen anyone's spirits! All in all, the entire experience was one not to be forgotten, and it never will be!

As always, Duran Duran rocks live and I love all their music. This time, I have a couple of things that I found a bit disappointing: 1) The band played: 6 songs from their first album, 4 from their second, 1 from their third, 1 from their fourth, 2 from their 7th, 1 from their 8th, 1 from their last and a couple of singles. If you like all the other albums, it is a bit disappointing. I'm a huge fan of them and I love their latest music, which was completely ignored in this concert. As a big fan of their (completely absent) newer music, I wish they had play some. 2) Nile Rodgers over did it: I was excited to see Nile Rodgers with Chic. However, I think he should have played 4-6 disco songs from Chic and leave it there. Instead, he was adamant to prove how famous he is by explaining several times that he produced Madonna, David Bowie and others and he decided he had to play covers of Like a virgin, Material Girl, Modern world and Let's dance. Frankly, I would have preferred to see more of Duran Duran instead. I had my kids with me, and they were tired before Duran even started. Finally, I cannot avoid a rant about the venue: this amphitheater is nice once you make it, but driving from north San Diego at 6:00 is horrible, access to the venue is as bad as it gets, and you better be prepared to leave a bit early unless you can tolerate being stuck in the parking lot for over an hour on the way out. I really wish most bands would consider the SDSU Open Air theater instead. To add to this, they try really hard to charge you for every possible add on they can: VIP parking, easy exit parking (proving normal parking is a trap), skip the line, etc.

It. Was. Amazing! Where to even start? First was Nile Rodgers and Chic and I cannot express how much of an energetic and quality show that was! Their part had so much energy to it that I feared to run out steam for the rest of the concert. It’s incredible the talent Rodgers has and his influence in the music industry. Then came Bastille which I wasn’t too familiar with but had a great time when they were on stage. Knew a lot more of their songs than I thought and they were an incredible live performance. Then came the boys! They are truly at their best. I saw them in National Harbor in 2017 and while they were great as always then, last night they were a hundred times better. The energy. The performance. The playlist. The tech on the show. The audience interaction. I’ve never seen palpitating so much positive energy! LeBon is always a showman and of course the rest of the band is at their prime. I can honestly say it was one of the best nights and shows of my life.

My friend and I went to Dallas with the anticipation of an amazing concert. Nile Rodgers and Chic were on stage when we entered the seating area. We both enjoyed this performance. Next, Bastille came on stage and they quite literally killed the upbeat atmosphere. Their song selections were not what you’d expect to keep the crowd excited and interactive; my friend almost fell asleep during Bastille’s performance. My friend and I both use walkers due to extreme back pain so I got us decreased mobility seats. When I made my way to my seat, it was quickly apparent that the seat was more narrow than they looked, thus, we were both uncomfortable in our seats. We asked if we could sit behind the handicapped seats while sitting on our walker’s seat. We were told, “No, but you’re welcome to stand behind them.” If we had the ability to stand for more than 5 - 10 minutes at a time, we wouldn’t need our walker! What’s the difference between us sitting on our walker seat and other people that were standing behind other seats? I was disappointed that there seemed to be a double standard for handicapped persons. Despite this, my friend and I both truly enjoyed ourselves with the Duran Duran portion of the show. From the minute they came on stage, the party was on! This was my friend’s 1st and my 4th Duran Duran concert. I’ve been to other states to see Duran Duran and I have never had trouble with narrow seats. So, the concert by Duran Duran was definitely a five star show! But the seating antics caused me to give a four star review.

Duran Duran puts on a fantastic show. They have been my favorite band since the early '80s when I was a "tween". I even carved their original "DD" logo in the new concrete in the patio at my parents' home (they've lived there since 1980 and it's still there to this day)! I couldn't afford to see them as a teenager, but when I was several years into my "grown-up" career I was fortunate enough to see them perform at The Barrymore on Broadway in NYC (11/2007) for their "Red Carpet Massacre" tour (VIP, front row, John Taylor's side - love love love him and have had a huuuuuge crush on him since the early '80s!) I saw them on the last night of their "Future Past" US tour at the Hollywood Bowl (09/11/2022), which was another fantastic show with a spectacular finale ("Rio", "choreographed" to a fireworks show). Last night's show (11/02/2022) at Yaamava' Theatre was also wonderful. They are in they're 60's and can still rock the house! No lip syncing here. No "air guitar". All real and truly genuine. I want everyone to know that those who may have thought in the '80s these "pretty boys" with their fanatic following would be a trend that would pass ("The Fab Five" they were dubbed) were completely wrong. These men have outlasted years beyond all other pretty boy one-hit wonders...decades, actually, and still look pretty damn s**y. Rock on, Duran Duran, and don't ever stop!🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼

ABSOLUTELY AMAZINGLY AWESOME!! This was my 7th concert with DD since 1984, 3rd at MPP. Everyone is as always AMAZING!! DD EQUALS LIFE for many of us "veteran" Duranies. The new songs from FUTURE PAST are quite relevant to the day. The great "oldies" and classics pulled up the most excellent memories of the vinyl and casette days. Always fun singing and "playing' along with DD while the youngsters nearby look mystified... Nick's creative sounds, Roger hammering the drums, John- PTFB JOHN!!, Simon sounds as good as ever. Dom, Anna, and Rachael are essential to the complete sound of DD. The videos playing in the background really was another most excellent touch. CHIC and Nile Rodgers are a great opener group, and the collaboration is a match made in heaven. The tribute to Ukraine was a heartfelt gesture, and WE ALL hope they will again find their ORDINARY WORLD. THANK YOU ALL for continuing to create and provide DD music. And, yes Simon, her name is....RIO!!

The workers were friendly and helpful. The weather was very good. The police made it a bit more difficult to get to the parking garages than it should have been by blocking access to roads you needed to turn on to. The food sold at the venue is less than inspiring. As for the show itself, it could have done without the person DJ'ing at the beginning, and Chic's set was a bit long (though good!), but Duran Duran were their normal energetic, amazing self. Backup singer Anna Ross has been with them for a while and is very good (especially on Come Undone, as always). Backup singer Rachael O'Connor is new. She was fun to watch and also brought great energy to the show. She handled the Tove Lo parts for Give It All Up. They needed to turn her mic up, as she was hard to hear. Simon's mic seemed a bit distorted and it seemed like some of the other vocal mics didn't work at all. The music came through loud and clear, however. Going with the Future Past theme, they had songs from their new album and a bunch from their first two (so no Paper Gods or Astronaut songs this time, unfortunately). Duran Duran is still the most fun live act in the business!

Duran Duran put on an absolutely excellent show, as always! I've seen then several times at various venues. They do an excellent job of playing a mix of old and new material. So whether you want reminded of the 80s, or you've followed their career, you'll be happy. And as always, Simon Le Bon is a fabulous frontman. This was my first time at Merriwether. I opted for lawn seats. My daughter and I were about an hour early, so we were able to get a choice of seating, but the front of the lawn was already full. We only took a blanket as I knew I'd stand through the whole show. I was able to see the stage fine (I am 5'10"). Plus there were two screens that often provided the better view. There was a wide variety of food, and a water station to refill your reusable bottle (must be empty coming in). Overall, a great experience!

Wonderful show from an iconic band, made even more special by the intimate location, a big improvement on the usual arena setting. A few notable misses on the setlist - Is There Something I Should Know being the most obvious - but this in no way diminished the experience, with plenty of classic Duran Duran to satisfy the baying public. Le Bon's vocals are unchanged from 40 years ago; he's a phenomenal frontman, who commands the crowd with ease. My 17 year old son has seen countless artists from the 80s and 90s but Duran Duran are the only band from that era that he's always wanted to see. Only one word of advice to the organisers; don't open the doors at 7pm if the band intend to get on at 9pm. It's a really long time to stand around. Luckily, Duran Duran are always worth the wait!!

I still had a really great time though, and I am happy that I attended.

I've waited years to see Duran Duran live, and their show on July 30th was everything I hoped it would be and more! The band was in top form, with Simon Le Bon's vocals sounding as strong as ever and John Taylor’s basslines thundering through the venue. The setlist was a perfect mix of their biggest hits like 'Rio' and 'Hungry Like the Wolf,' along with some deeper cuts that had the die-hard fans cheering. The stage production was fantastic, with dynamic lighting and visuals that perfectly complemented their energetic performance. The jumbotrons were a lifesaver, allowing everyone to catch the action, even from the back. The crowd was electric, singing along to every word and dancing like it was the 80s all over again. One of my personal highlights was when they played 'Ordinary World'—a song that has always held a special place in my heart. Overall, this concert reinforced my love for the band and reminded me why Duran Duran is still one of the best live acts out there. I’d see them again in a heartbeat! P.S.: Ignore that one dude's big ole noggin' "messing up" the shot that I shared...there's always at least one such a****t.

Nile Rodgers and Chic were absolutely amazing! So many songs he has written and produced that many fans weren't aware of! Not only did they play what we would expect to hear, but so many other famous toe-tapping tunes! What a way to start the evening! Then came Bastille... and honestly, I only knew of them through others... but I very much enjoyed their set, as well, and will be looking up their music to download. What a treat they were! Finally, Duran Duran comes down in a virtual spaceship and blew everyone away! Followed by "Hungry Like the Wolf" and a host of other 80s hits, intermingled with later music and their newest soon-to-be hits, the musical talent and showmanship is unrivaled. And to say that they haven't missed a beat is an understatement! Not one note was in error. Everything was spectacular, and I can only say that I hope they were recording for a future live video release! Ultimately, Red Rocks is the absolute best venue in the world! This was my first time to visit, and it did NOT disappoint! Even the 15-minute rain shower couldn't dampen anyone's spirits! All in all, the entire experience was one not to be forgotten, and it never will be!

As always, Duran Duran rocks live and I love all their music. This time, I have a couple of things that I found a bit disappointing: 1) The band played: 6 songs from their first album, 4 from their second, 1 from their third, 1 from their fourth, 2 from their 7th, 1 from their 8th, 1 from their last and a couple of singles. If you like all the other albums, it is a bit disappointing. I'm a huge fan of them and I love their latest music, which was completely ignored in this concert. As a big fan of their (completely absent) newer music, I wish they had play some. 2) Nile Rodgers over did it: I was excited to see Nile Rodgers with Chic. However, I think he should have played 4-6 disco songs from Chic and leave it there. Instead, he was adamant to prove how famous he is by explaining several times that he produced Madonna, David Bowie and others and he decided he had to play covers of Like a virgin, Material Girl, Modern world and Let's dance. Frankly, I would have preferred to see more of Duran Duran instead. I had my kids with me, and they were tired before Duran even started. Finally, I cannot avoid a rant about the venue: this amphitheater is nice once you make it, but driving from north San Diego at 6:00 is horrible, access to the venue is as bad as it gets, and you better be prepared to leave a bit early unless you can tolerate being stuck in the parking lot for over an hour on the way out. I really wish most bands would consider the SDSU Open Air theater instead. To add to this, they try really hard to charge you for every possible add on they can: VIP parking, easy exit parking (proving normal parking is a trap), skip the line, etc.

It. Was. Amazing! Where to even start? First was Nile Rodgers and Chic and I cannot express how much of an energetic and quality show that was! Their part had so much energy to it that I feared to run out steam for the rest of the concert. It’s incredible the talent Rodgers has and his influence in the music industry. Then came Bastille which I wasn’t too familiar with but had a great time when they were on stage. Knew a lot more of their songs than I thought and they were an incredible live performance. Then came the boys! They are truly at their best. I saw them in National Harbor in 2017 and while they were great as always then, last night they were a hundred times better. The energy. The performance. The playlist. The tech on the show. The audience interaction. I’ve never seen palpitating so much positive energy! LeBon is always a showman and of course the rest of the band is at their prime. I can honestly say it was one of the best nights and shows of my life.

My friend and I went to Dallas with the anticipation of an amazing concert. Nile Rodgers and Chic were on stage when we entered the seating area. We both enjoyed this performance. Next, Bastille came on stage and they quite literally killed the upbeat atmosphere. Their song selections were not what you’d expect to keep the crowd excited and interactive; my friend almost fell asleep during Bastille’s performance. My friend and I both use walkers due to extreme back pain so I got us decreased mobility seats. When I made my way to my seat, it was quickly apparent that the seat was more narrow than they looked, thus, we were both uncomfortable in our seats. We asked if we could sit behind the handicapped seats while sitting on our walker’s seat. We were told, “No, but you’re welcome to stand behind them.” If we had the ability to stand for more than 5 - 10 minutes at a time, we wouldn’t need our walker! What’s the difference between us sitting on our walker seat and other people that were standing behind other seats? I was disappointed that there seemed to be a double standard for handicapped persons. Despite this, my friend and I both truly enjoyed ourselves with the Duran Duran portion of the show. From the minute they came on stage, the party was on! This was my friend’s 1st and my 4th Duran Duran concert. I’ve been to other states to see Duran Duran and I have never had trouble with narrow seats. So, the concert by Duran Duran was definitely a five star show! But the seating antics caused me to give a four star review.

Duran Duran puts on a fantastic show. They have been my favorite band since the early '80s when I was a "tween". I even carved their original "DD" logo in the new concrete in the patio at my parents' home (they've lived there since 1980 and it's still there to this day)! I couldn't afford to see them as a teenager, but when I was several years into my "grown-up" career I was fortunate enough to see them perform at The Barrymore on Broadway in NYC (11/2007) for their "Red Carpet Massacre" tour (VIP, front row, John Taylor's side - love love love him and have had a huuuuuge crush on him since the early '80s!) I saw them on the last night of their "Future Past" US tour at the Hollywood Bowl (09/11/2022), which was another fantastic show with a spectacular finale ("Rio", "choreographed" to a fireworks show). Last night's show (11/02/2022) at Yaamava' Theatre was also wonderful. They are in they're 60's and can still rock the house! No lip syncing here. No "air guitar". All real and truly genuine. I want everyone to know that those who may have thought in the '80s these "pretty boys" with their fanatic following would be a trend that would pass ("The Fab Five" they were dubbed) were completely wrong. These men have outlasted years beyond all other pretty boy one-hit wonders...decades, actually, and still look pretty damn s**y. Rock on, Duran Duran, and don't ever stop!🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼

ABSOLUTELY AMAZINGLY AWESOME!! This was my 7th concert with DD since 1984, 3rd at MPP. Everyone is as always AMAZING!! DD EQUALS LIFE for many of us "veteran" Duranies. The new songs from FUTURE PAST are quite relevant to the day. The great "oldies" and classics pulled up the most excellent memories of the vinyl and casette days. Always fun singing and "playing' along with DD while the youngsters nearby look mystified... Nick's creative sounds, Roger hammering the drums, John- PTFB JOHN!!, Simon sounds as good as ever. Dom, Anna, and Rachael are essential to the complete sound of DD. The videos playing in the background really was another most excellent touch. CHIC and Nile Rodgers are a great opener group, and the collaboration is a match made in heaven. The tribute to Ukraine was a heartfelt gesture, and WE ALL hope they will again find their ORDINARY WORLD. THANK YOU ALL for continuing to create and provide DD music. And, yes Simon, her name is....RIO!!

The workers were friendly and helpful. The weather was very good. The police made it a bit more difficult to get to the parking garages than it should have been by blocking access to roads you needed to turn on to. The food sold at the venue is less than inspiring. As for the show itself, it could have done without the person DJ'ing at the beginning, and Chic's set was a bit long (though good!), but Duran Duran were their normal energetic, amazing self. Backup singer Anna Ross has been with them for a while and is very good (especially on Come Undone, as always). Backup singer Rachael O'Connor is new. She was fun to watch and also brought great energy to the show. She handled the Tove Lo parts for Give It All Up. They needed to turn her mic up, as she was hard to hear. Simon's mic seemed a bit distorted and it seemed like some of the other vocal mics didn't work at all. The music came through loud and clear, however. Going with the Future Past theme, they had songs from their new album and a bunch from their first two (so no Paper Gods or Astronaut songs this time, unfortunately). Duran Duran is still the most fun live act in the business!

Duran Duran put on an absolutely excellent show, as always! I've seen then several times at various venues. They do an excellent job of playing a mix of old and new material. So whether you want reminded of the 80s, or you've followed their career, you'll be happy. And as always, Simon Le Bon is a fabulous frontman. This was my first time at Merriwether. I opted for lawn seats. My daughter and I were about an hour early, so we were able to get a choice of seating, but the front of the lawn was already full. We only took a blanket as I knew I'd stand through the whole show. I was able to see the stage fine (I am 5'10"). Plus there were two screens that often provided the better view. There was a wide variety of food, and a water station to refill your reusable bottle (must be empty coming in). Overall, a great experience!

Wonderful show from an iconic band, made even more special by the intimate location, a big improvement on the usual arena setting. A few notable misses on the setlist - Is There Something I Should Know being the most obvious - but this in no way diminished the experience, with plenty of classic Duran Duran to satisfy the baying public. Le Bon's vocals are unchanged from 40 years ago; he's a phenomenal frontman, who commands the crowd with ease. My 17 year old son has seen countless artists from the 80s and 90s but Duran Duran are the only band from that era that he's always wanted to see. Only one word of advice to the organisers; don't open the doors at 7pm if the band intend to get on at 9pm. It's a really long time to stand around. Luckily, Duran Duran are always worth the wait!!
