The Love Elektrik is seductive synth-pop funk personified. Currently based in both Los Angeles and Nashville, the duo (comprised of American frontman Anthony Rankin and Swedish bassist Victor Brodén) fuses the ethereal funk of the 1980s with a millennial pop aesthetic, a bridge between the Minneapolis Sound of Prince and the neo-retro ethos of artists like Maroon 5, DNCE and Nick Jonas. Amplified by magnetic live performances and Rankin's flexible voice, their songs bristle with infectious rhythms, major-league melodies and bulletproof hooks.
At the top of 2018, The Love Elektrik released the deluxe version of their independent debut album Underneath (Deluxe), which immediately began to gain traction on Spotify via playlists like Discover Weekly, and on VEVO, where their videos have already garnered tens of thousands of views. The group has been featured by outlets like Kings of A&R, Ourstage, iHeartRadio, Noisetrade, and more.
