About Robby Marshall
Born in the Bay Area, saxophonist and composer Robby Marshall rose to prominence in the Los Angeles jazz scene.
His debut album of original compositions, Living Electric, appeared in 2008. RootSystem followed in 2011, featuring more originals along with Eastern European folk songs arranged for a ten-piece ensemble.
Marshall toured with Cassandra Wilson, Michael Buble and Trombone Shorty before moving to Paris in 2014 to focus on his solo career. Little Victories, his latest album with the Robby Marshall Quartet, was released in 2019 by France’s Vita Productions label.
His debut album of original compositions, Living Electric, appeared in 2008. RootSystem followed in 2011, featuring more originals along with Eastern European folk songs arranged for a ten-piece ensemble.
Marshall toured with Cassandra Wilson, Michael Buble and Trombone Shorty before moving to Paris in 2014 to focus on his solo career. Little Victories, his latest album with the Robby Marshall Quartet, was released in 2019 by France’s Vita Productions label.
