Connla was spectacular working their magic to hold the audience's attention and get them fully involved in their music.
The church's sound system was a good one, and the space comfortable. It was evident that music is held in high esteem there.
Connla is the first band that has been invited back for a second performance, and I'm sure a third will be arranged. Huge response, including standing ovations, let their ensure be known.

I saw Connla play two incredibly dynamic performances at La Crosse Irish Fest. They are a must see at Milwaukee Irish Fest (August 16, 17 and 18).

About CONNLA
Connla are an exciting new band with strong traditional roots as well as influences from across the globe. Their sensitive and innovative arrangements of traditional and modern folk songs and tunes have earned them praise across the folk community. Having met whilst studying Music at Ulster University, they quickly began performing together and developing friendships. They hail from the cities of Armagh and Derry: Ciara McCafferty (vocals), Ciaran Carlin (whistles) and Paul Starrett (guitar) are familiar faces on the local music scene, and are joined by Armagh siblings Emer and Conor Mallon on harp and uilleann pipes.
