About The Hazy Chains

Sydney’s hard hitting indie psychedelic/garage two piece The Hazy Chains have just finished recording their debut EP ‘Orb’ with Aria Nominated and Gold award winning producer Bryce Moorhead (Violent Soho). With themes of the spirit world and transient communication. The talented duo played all instruments on the EP and felt at ease experimenting with a range of impressive instruments available to them at ‘The ‘Shed’ “indie with shades of psychedelia” Bryce Moorhead. Kait and Yod banded together in 2013 in the form of Sydney pop/grunge outfit Pulse Mavens, where they released an underground EP “Fight Back”, produced by Dave Petrovic (Northlane, Tonight Alive) and released two music videos and a self titled single. They worked with the likes of Jenna Mcdougall and Whakaio Taahi (Tonight Alive members) at Electric Sun Studios and toured across the east coast of Australia gaining national recognition. They helped raise $5000 for SOS women's services while headlining Grrls To The Front Fest and opened for US bands Hawthorne Heights, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and Forever Came Calling. Kait was then chosen as a grant recipient of The AMP tomorrow fund and Kait & Yod were introduced on stage by Wendy Harmer to perform at The Town Hall where they received their trophy and grant. Making the decision to step aside from Pulse Mavens and concentrate on the band that would become The Hazy Chains, a change in scene saw the band metamorphoses into its existing form. Drawing new inspiration from old influences as varied as Janis Joplin, Nirvana and Nine Inch Nails. Kait & Yod swiftly used the grant to book in with producer Bryce Moorhead in Brisbane. For three consecutive weeks they recorded their Debut EP 'Orb' The Hazy Chains have so far released a single/music video "Feeling Me" filmed by Adrian Fitipaldes and have already received community radio airplay.
