About Chevy Galore

"Michelle Malone and Linda Bolley, who make up Chevy Galore, play off each other symbiotically making music as deep as that of any pair of siblings (or ex-spouses). Their distinctive sensibilities meld into creating one sound that combines the sophisticated new South with rustic south Georgia. Malone has had her share of ups and downs in the biz, so understand if she doesn’t give a whit whether the music industry is with her or not. Either way, she’ll be ready to rumble." Nashville Scene

Michelle Malone and Linda Bolley are Chevy Galore, a lean, mean, greasy machine with gritty southern slide guitar, pounding drums, and sweet harmonies. Hailing from the dirty south, the drums guitar duo have traversed the country so many times that they've been through 3 Chevy vans - one was totaled by a semi in southern California on the way to a show (which they made), one lost a transmission in Wyoming, one was stolen and never recovered. Most any other band would've given up, but performing and making new friends are the real rewards for Chevy Galore.

Chevy Galore have been playing together now since 2001 in one form or another. They started out as a 4 piece band, but quickly realized that they were best received as the edgier, more exciting drums guitar duo. Their duo dynamics also showcase their sweet vocal harmonies. The rough and ready road warriors have regularly played 200 shows a year with their "take no prisoners" attitude performing in every size venue from front porch parties in Pennsylvania to arena shows with Indigo Girls from coast to coast.

Every performance is exciting and different, because they play songs as they feel them each night, often taking them on a journeyful ramble. Their influences range from Dolly Parton to Led Zeppelin and Leadbelly, though no comparison seems to stick.
