About Blamethrower
Blamethrower – A Biography by Ken Burns*
The hours of blood, sweat and tears that Blamethrower toiled away in the studio are probably best not thought about, as the recording process spanned over two years. However, the result cannot be denied: It is definitely an album! The recording process may have been long, but it has yielded Durian like fruit; it really leaves an indelible mark on the senses. The debut album, Ground Beef for Breakfast, was released as a CD and for digital download on September 22, 2017.
“There is something for everyone when Ground Beef for Breakfast is served! It touches on many genres yet still holds steadfast as a straight up, earnest rock ‘n’ roll statement.”
– Nicole Wolfe, Canadian Beats.
Officially formed in 2014 by front-man Johnny Zero, drummer Brandon E.M. Savage, bassist Brandon Smith, and lead-guitarist Kyle Homen, the band spent its early years corralling the disparate genres and influences of their songs into a cohesive, tight package, and explosive stage show. Sadly, in 2016, Kyle was called to the great after-party in the sky, where he and Lemmy are no doubt in an eternal battle to find out who can drink the most Jack Daniels.
The band made the tough decision to continue, dedicating their first video (Home and Heartbreak) and album (Ground Beef for Breakfast) to their fallen brother. Friend, and former band-mate of Kyle’s, C.J. Keys was recruited, and the boys picked up their torrid pace of rehearsals, shows, and, when they got around to it, recording.
“Heavy stuff mixed with some good ol' fun.”
-Matt Diamond, The Wolf 101.5, Peterborough
A Blamethrower show can be described as many things: Frantic, energetic, loud, and booze-fueled, but certainly not boring. The band takes pride in their live performances, and brings their A-Game to every venue, every time. With shows lined up for early 2018 in Ontario and Quebec, the New Year is looking good for your chance to catch the Dirty ‘shwa Rock up close and personal.
“As it turns out, Blamethrower play a particular brand of rock n’ roll that I really like.”
-Oliver, Sleazeroxx.com
Ground Beef for Breakfast is available now on iTunes, Google Play, Amazon, Spotify, CD Baby and pretty much everywhere online. You can also pick up a copy at a show, which would be kinda a toofer, right?

*Not the famous documentary film-maker, it’s a pretty common name… Also, that was a joke, nobody named Ken was involved in the writing of this biography…
