About Porsches

If anyone’s got a Midas touch for pop music, then it’s Australian producer Jesse Porsches. With his knack for head-bopping hooks and a strong pop subtlety, Jesse Porsches is no stranger to delivering earworms that encompass both traditional structures and futuristic melodies. The Sydney-based DJ and producer is responsible for penning a myriad of hits over the past years; from Flume’s debut single ‘Sleepless’ in 2011, to the 2015 breakthrough smash ‘Horses’ under his first duo project Porsches, and its follow-up single ‘Karate’ – both latter tracks amassing over a million plays on Spotify alone. 2017 saw Jesse leap into the spotlight as a solo artist, with the release of his shimmery dance-pop jam ‘The Weekend’ featuring Xavier Dunn. The track garnered over 300k streams on Spotify alone whilst the official music video received acclaim from major blogs such as Pilerats, who declared “Jesse’s Porsches’ new clip will make you pray for summer’s return.” Industry stalwarts began to pay attention – leading to inked deals with major tastemaker labels including Dew Process/ Universal in Australia, Astralwerks in US, as well as a worldwide publishing deal with BMG. Not straying from his penchant for collaboration, 2017 also saw Jesse launch is second duo project Super Cruel with Adelaide producer Tigerilla. Their debut single ‘November’, featuring the unmistakable Lisa Mitchell, amassed over 2 million Spotify streams and was added to full rotation on triple J. As a duo, Porsches has toured with the likes of Skepta, Tkay Maidza, Booka Shade and Tensnake, whilst Super Cruel was added to the Splendour In The Grass bill in 2017. As a solo act, Jesse Porsches continues to move from strength to strength – with production credits on tracks for KLP and The Voice SA winner Armand Joubert, a slew of singles set for release, and a solo tour well underway for 2018.
