About Madison Hardy

Madison Hardy’s love of singing began in a small church just outside her hometown of Philadelphia, Mississippi. As just a three-year-old, she sang "Jesus Loves Me" at the top of her lungs, spreading enjoyment and amusement through the congregation. As a second-grader, Madison won the overall prize at her very first talent competition, sparking a desire to continue to sing and compete in talent shows all over the nation. Even as a young child, it was after visiting Nashville several times with her family that Madison knew it was her destiny to one day begin her career as a country music recording artist. Madison didn't originally consider herself a songwriter, but she eventually caught herself paying attention to the lyrics and writers of her favorite songs, and she often thought, "I wonder if I could do that as well as them." When Madison made the move to Nashville in 2007 to attend Belmont University, she decided to seriously try her hand at the craft. Since then, she has had the rare opportunity to work with some of Music Row’s most prolific music publishing companies, gaining the experience & knowledge needed to succeed as a songwriter and aspiring artist. Now a senior at Belmont, Madison has been one busy young lady, having recently signed with a booking agency, Talent Plus Entertainment, and spending the last several months working on her debut EP with producer Daniel Dennis at Prime Cut Studios in Nashville, Tennessee. The "Madison Hardy EP" was released on January 25, 2011, and, within 24 hours, climbed to #37 on the iTunes Country Albums Chart. "Don't Forget About Me," one of the two songs Madison wrote on her own for the album, has also been getting significant radio airplay from staions in her native Mississippi. Madison was also selected to perform in Belmont University's 2011 Country Showcase this past February, an annual event that highlights four of Belmont's most talented up-and-coming country music artists. This past year, Madison has had multiple opportunities to perform at several legendary venues around Nashville, including the Hard Rock Café, 12th & Porter, 3rd & Lindsley, Bluebird Café, Douglas Corner Café, and Red Rooster, among several others. With performing at the Grand Ole Opry at the top of her “bucket list,” Madison says "I haven't made it to the Opry stage yet, but my time is coming." Make no mistake about it, Madison Hardy’s powerful voice, compelling performances, and commercial image will get her there soon enough.
