Assassinate the Following. . .

While being driven by a strong passion for music in genres near and far, Assassinate the Following… gear themselves towards the uprise of inspiration that our world has to offer. Originally formed in July of 2006, Brandon White (main vocals and guitar) and Drew Torok (vocals and guitar) decided to embark on a quest to create some technically advanced, progressive metal and it grew into the project known as Assassinate the Following… In their searches, the comrades of choice included Russell Farley on drums and Josh White on bass. Together they recorded their self titled EP in August of 2007 which included five songs. They quickly learned in their first studio time at Spectre Sound with Glenn Fricker that their professionalism and eagerness to learn easily sets them apart from their peers. In an effort to always grow, this group of individuals believes that there is no challenge that they can overcome! You can very seldom come across drive like this. After the release of their first EP, the band started to play more and more shows around the Southwestern Ontario region. In the process they found new friends in new cities and caught the bug for going out on the road. Assassinate the Following… then decided to return to Spectre Sound again in April 2009 to record their first full length album named "Massacre of the North". The next ten songs (including a bonus track at the end) will set a new bar for this up and coming band to hurdle over in the near future. Upon the release of "Massacre of the North", Assassinate the Following… began to work with CDN Records for the distribution of this album. To this date, CDN Records has worked with the band, hand in hand, to push their album not only across the Canadian and American stretch, but across the ocean to European countries and even further around the world. Which is a feat that this group is very proud to have accomplished! You can find their album "Massacre of the North" in every HMV, Best Buy and Future Shop across Canada. It can also be found on iTunes. Assassinate the Following… then decided to run themselves around the Southwestern Ontario ground again gaining more friends, fans, and experience. They were fortunate enough to get on a tour stretched from Toronto to Montreal with friends from Protest the Hero and Abandon All Ships (Kingdoms and I Am Committing a Sin on select dates). With a glimpse into how large tours are run, Assassinate the Following… hold all of their lessons close and have substantially stepped up their understanding for the music scene and what they need to get done in order to tour as much as they hope to. More than grateful is the group for Tim Millars advice and involvement in taking the boys onto the next step. Currently, Assassinate the Following… is in the process of writing their next full length album. They continue to pour their hearts and souls into their sound and can promise to generate some fresh tunes for all of your listening pleasure in the near future. The album that is in the works is the application of everything that they have learned to date. About music, about the world, about ourselves, and each other. Upon re-assessment, the band has felt as though they are missing something. As of December, 2010, the band has found a new front man. The chosen one goes by the name of Brandon Kellam. He has been the front man for the London/ Chatham based bands Educare and Punish Them. The incorporation of a full time vocalist (focusing on screaming) allows the possibility for more flow and opportunities with three able vocalists in the mix. The band is now including an extra bonus track on their album featuring re-recorded vocals in their single "I Once Was". Kellam is a perfect fit for these fellows and has always been a part of the ATF family. In the meantime, this 5 piece is now in full swing. While working on material through the winter season, Assassinate the Following… plan on bringing something new to the table with the fierce disposition that they've always held close. Their next frontier is that of a cross Canada tour. These musicians are ready to put their noses to the grind stone and do the things necessary to propel themselves further into the music industry.
