Bučan Bučan (pronounced loudly as "booCHAN booCHAN") is a ensemble of musicians, inspired by Eastern European brass band traditions. Bučan Bučan puts a modern spin on traditional Balkan music, with spontaneous, theatrical performances that are not to be missed! Made up of eight musicians, each having their own unique musical performance background, ensembles and projects, and together they bring a wonderful spirit to the group! Bučan Bučan's instrumentation includes percussion, accordion, stroh violin, tuba, euphonium, baritone, trombone and trumpet. This high energy is often seen moving around a venue while performing, making use of the different features and situations of any given performance space, giving the audience a great up-close and personal experience with live music. Bučan Bučan has had the pleasure of performing with MeatDraw, and sharing the stage with The Tom Fun Orchestra, The Hidden Cameras, Gentleman Reg, Champion and His G-Strings, Tequila Mockingbird Orchestra, Blackberry Wood, The Revolutionary Cyborg Wedding Band, Balkan Babes, the Ball Gag & Chain Gang, Carousels and the Yiddish Columbia State Orchestra.
