About Kimberlie Helton Band
Kimberlie Helton is a singer/songwriter born in the home of the blues... Memphis, TN. Although most of the songs she has written are country, you can hear the soulful, bluesy influence in her voice when she covers some of her favorites, including an often requested Susan Tedeschi's, "Hurts So Bad."
In addition to Helton, band members include Dustin Campbell(drums), Chris McCrudden(bass), and Eric Wood (guitar). The KHB enjoys entertaining tourists from around the world in Nashville on Broadway, and on Beale St. in Memphis due to the visitors' excitement in hearing historical music in the great state of Tennessee. However, she also enjoys the relationships she has made with her fan base around the southwest in AL, AR, MS, KY, and MO. Her favorite aspect of performing is meeting new people and making them part of the show as she mingles through the audience during her sets!
Helton jokingly attributes her musical background to sharing a birthday with Elvis Presley, and brings crowds to their feet when she performs her spunky version of Jailhouse Rock.
Although the Kimberlie Helton Band leaves crowds wanting more with their take on Johnny Cash, Aretha Franklin, Prince, and more, they admit there is no greater feeling than looking out into the crowd and seeing fans sing along to songs that we've written ourselves!
Helton's first single to get radio airtime was "Nobody Gets Me This Way" cowritten with Jonathan King of Medina, TN in 2009.
Since 2010, she has been collaborating with guitar player, Eric Wood on an album called, "Gossip."
From the Gossip album, a favorite has crept to the top of the request list..."Backroad." The album is available on ITunes or can be ordered at kimberliehelton.com.
Since forming the Kimberlie Helton Band in July of 2009, she has been blessed with opportunities to work with W.S. Holland, the last standing member of the Johnny Cash band, and open for many Grand Ole Opry Legends, including Jim Ed Brown, Jeannie Seely, and T. Graham Brown.
She has also opened for country music artists/bands, Little Texas, Joe Diffee, Randy Houser and The Band Perry.
For booking info, she can be contacted at:
