It was absolutely amazing! Getting ti see willwood live for the first time ever and it being my first concert ever it was outstanding. He is absolutely hilarious, comedic genius. Then the surprise at the end when he dropped his new song was such a shock to me, it was a beautifully sweet song! I can't wait for him to release it! I feel like my life is complete now! Wish i couldve met him up close and talked to him, maybe in the future!

As always, I left being extremely jealous of everyone who has yet to see the show! I would seriously give anything to see it again. One of the most impressive things for me is that even though the show, on the surface, contained a lot of "random" tangents and stories, Will Wood was able to tie everything together and bring it back to his original point no matter how far "off track" the show seemed to get. It's the kind of show you won't fully understand until the end but it was so worth the wait. The lead-up to my favorite song, Marsha Thankk You for the Dialectics but I Need You to Leave, was especially fantastic. Definitely a show I would love to see get the same treatment as Slouching Towards Branson with many live performance videos available and even a short concert film. Maybe that's a little ambitious to ask but it was an equally beautiful show. My only complaint is that it wasn't a little longer!

Honestly, I was a bit let down. In two hours he played maybe 9 songs including the encore. When he did play, the songs were absolutely gorgeous and SO fun. I like the storytelling, but the comedy was just not hitting for me. While I understand that doing a solo act can be exhausting, I just feel like I paid for a comedy show instead of a musical act, which was not how I intended to spend my night.

F*****g incredible. I laughed and cried and head-banged so much that my neck was sore the day later. The Tapeworms absolutely rocked, they're all such incredible musicians. This concert made me want to pick up my instrument again, more than ever, and learn to play the way they all did. Will's monologue to "That One Guy" in the audience had me in tears. It recontextualized Skeleton Appreciation Day for me. I really felt spoken to. Not to be dramatic, but it really cut deep to something within my psyche. Ending on Cicada days had me trying not to audibly sob too much. Then, bringing all the energy back in the encore was an incredible send-off to the show. I had an incredible time, and I can't wait for the show in OKC in a couple of months :) What an incredible bunch of musicians and performers.

Legitimately the best show I have ever seen. I have never seen someone play piano the way Will Wood does, and the energy of the entire band was electric. The room was very, VERY hot but the show was high energy all the way through, and Will Wood and the Tapeworms didn't flag or lose steam for even a second. The entire set was fantastic and the crowd had really good energy. Will Wood's stage presence is INSANE and I was in awe that the entire band was able to perform like that in such a stuffy room for so long. I'm looking forward to their next show in Boston, I'll definitely be there!!

Oh my god, the way he got into two fake arguments with the drummer, told the audience off (people were filming - totally not me tho because I'm "mature enough to not do that at a concert" /j 😅), and pulled out a rotary phone to have a monologue in the middle of a song were phenomenal. Truly one of the most entertaining displays at a concert I've witnessed! You could tell the Tapeworms were having a blast too, and I loved how the saxophonist put a bowling pin in his horn as a mute! Incredible, just awesome!

it was great! The music was amazing the crowd was lively, my only issue was that there was so much of the balcony restricted to general admission and that the merch table was open before and during the show without any announcements. I had gone to the merch table to buy something and i was told that it was closed when it wasn't. They ended up actually closing about 45 minutes later and i couldn't buy anything so I'm really disappointed i couldn't get anything.

I am genuinely awestruck from this performance. Never have I experienced such impeccable vocals, crowd work, and storytelling rolled into one show, and I’m so grateful he and the crew trekked out to Columbia. I wasn’t able to bring myself to say anything during the pre-show meet and greet or to Shayfer James at the merch stand (for nerves reasons, not because they seemed unapproachable), but I will never forget that night for the rest of my life. This tour has been going on for nearly two months, and to bring such incredible energy (dare I say, “vibrations”) to the stage and amidst the crew is wildly impressive. 10,000/5 stars.

FWIW, I only went because my daughter is a huge fan and I didn't want her to go by herself. But WOW--I was blown away. He was phenomenal as a performer--what an incredible show. And Shayfer James was a great opener (and encore closer) as well! Would definitely see them again. And the Echo Lounge was a cool venue--I didn't know it was mostly seated so we got GA tix, but would get the seats next time (I'm old and don't like standing for four hours :-)

Me and my family travelled a long way to this show and it was certainly worth it! Both Will Wood and Shayfer James’ performances were phenomenal and so entertaining. I couldn’t have imagined what a fantastic live performer Will wood is along with his amazing songs. Whilst my family knew of Will wood and his songs, it was me who convinced them to go, and they all said they absolutely loved it and think he was great. We did the VIP, and despite Will feeling slightly under the weather, he gave very detailed and interesting responses to the questions that the audience had, we have had the pictures back today and they look great!

One of the best shows I’ve been to in a long time. Funny, enduring, entertaining, wild, and most of all, fun. Just a b****y good time all around. My fellow audience members were respectful and kind. Everyone had a blast. It was more than a concert, and that’s all I’ll say as to not spoil anything for those who plan on seeing one of these shows. I was fortunate enough to be VIP, and had the pleasure of meeting the man himself. Will Wood was so polite, kind, and patient with all of us. It’s refreshing to see an artist who is able to uphold boundaries between themselves and the fans, and so so with such grace and consideration. I feel honored to have met Will at this stage in his career, where he’s seemed to learn how to navigate popularity. Generally speaking, he is sweet with his fans. The “Slouching Towards Bethlehem Tour” is a wild ride of emotions and excitement. As always, Will Wood’s live performances are unique and memorable. Thank you to Will Wood, and thank you to all the other audience members who made the experience as wonderful as it was. Thank you!

This event was incredible and I'm so glad I got to experience it firsthand. Despite the traffic delays that pushed back the VIP experience, Will and his team did their best to make sure we got what we paid for and rearranged the meet and greet and did the Q&A portion during sound check to make sure there was enough time. In terms of the show itself, I definitely think it was well worth the 7 hour drive out to the venue for me. The storytelling was beautiful, with perfectly timed jokes mixed with more serious periods, all with extremely fitting expressiveness and acting. I was blown away and the story itself was fantastic. It was thought-provoking for sure and there were very specific moments that were still on my mind all day following the day of the show. The songs were also incredible, as expected. Will is so incredibly talented and his show left me envious of the people who have yet to see it. I would give anything to be able to experience it for the first time again the way I did last night!

Genuinely amazing show. Couldn’t have asked for a better night. The audience was friendly and very respectful, so it felt extremely homely. It was also a small and intimate venue so everything was personable and in-the-moment. At any given second, the musicians were less than 10ft away from me. Opener Shayfer James was funny and touching and vulnerable with his music.
Will’s show was a cartoony, fast-paced, gut-busting comedy detailing a fictionalized (?) version of his break with his greatest hits interspersed like a black-comedy musical. He also sounded as good, if not BETTER than the studio versions of all his songs. If that doesn’t scream f****n’ awesome, I don’t know what else does… His style is so distinctly him, so I’m so happy he came back. I can’t wait for his next tour (crossing my fingers).

This wasn’t just a concert, it was a theatrical experience like no other. Will has an awesome personality and stage presence, and he has an incredible sense of humor :D The delivery on every single one of his jokes was perfect, and the songs were tied together perfectly with a beautifully convoluted tale of psychedelics, pants, timeshares, and Branson, MO. I laughed, I cried, I left the show with a changed worldview and a fresh outlook on life. Will, if you read this, I can’t thank you enough. Everyone else: if you ever have any chance to see one of Will’s live shows, ABSOLUTELY DO IT. It’s honestly so worth it, you’ll have a great time and you’ll probably learn something about yourself while you’re there.

Saw him in a small coffee shop venue, it was an acoustic show with only the keyboard and ukelele as opposed to the previous big band shows. Maybe the venue could have been chosen better but I loved seeing him and he was very kind after the show. He walked into the audience and sang to us. The crowd for some reason wasn't really receptive which was sad but I don't think it was the type of place where they could be and no fault of the artist. Got a shirt though and I still wear it all the time!

Incredible live show. Delivered a truly unique experience including new arrangements of songs (some even on different instruments) and songs that have never been published or recorded before. Will's ability to both antagonize and appeal to a crowd was also in full force. I wish him well on his hiatus and hope I'll get another chance to enjoy his work. I came for a multimedia extravaganza and left satisfied by a guy on stage with two ukes and a piano.

Absolutely OUTSTANDING show. The venue was comfortable (thank God for a.c. in humid LA heat) and the musicians were amazing. Of course I came to the show for Will Wood, but Shayfer and Pless had great energy that was a joy to experience in person. I had no idea Pless was the musician who made Ashtray which I had on repeat constantly just a couple years ago and still listen to regularly! Very exciting and pleasant surprise. I'd been listening to Will since early 2019 and I can't understate how wonderful it was to finally get to see him play in person. Idk if you'll ever see this dude, but thank you so much for playing the west coast. You fulfilled a great wish of mine. I had a great time.

This is a concert I loved not only because of the laid-back acoustic nature of it, but also because of the level of personality Will exuded. I say it’s worth going even just for him alone (though the crowd will sometimes ruin it with heckling). Overall great show! Amazing concert at intimate venue with two great opening acts. I’m a mom of a 17 year old member of LGBTQ who has found Will’s music to be supportive and encouraging. I was pleased to see so many others like my child at the concert and to hear Will talk about inclusion and his own identity and self journey. Thank you Will Wood for being someone these kids can relate to. Music speaks when words fail and you are speaking to so many!
