Big Man James

Big Man James is a Blues-Rock band from Codogno, Italy made up Big Man James (Giacomo Cassoni) voice and guitar, Michele Zanoni bass guitar, Davide Bergamschi on guitar Alex Janev on the drum and Nicolò Moschera on the organ and piano.

The band released an EP, My Clouds (2017) and its first album Another (2018). This work has been reviewed from different website and magazine as Il Blues, Rockon.it, Buscadero, Blues Magazine, Baoblog-RocknRoll398, Rootshigway e Highwayitaly. Between 2020 and 2021 the band produced two unreleased singles, Beyourself (2020) and White Flag (2021). In April 2022, the band released a new EP, Step Into the Real Life (2022), consisting of 5 previously unreleased tracks.

Big Man James performed as opening act for different national and international artist: Kyla Brox, Joanna Connor, Carvin Jones, Francesco Piu, Fabio Treves, Davide Van De Sfoors.

In July 2022 Big Man James is one of the three Italian finalists of the International Blues Challenge - Italian Selection and in the summer of the same year he participates in the Malcesine Blues Festival 2022 and flies to Romania at the Open Air Blues in the Garden Festival - Darmanesti. Two tours in Romania and the Czech Republic are already planned for 2023.

During the 2020 they took part to Italian Blues Union relaunch project with Veronica Sbergia, Max Lazzarin e Eugenio Finardi.
In October 2019 Big Man James has been selected as one the four finalist for the Italian Blues Challenge.
The band had played in various important blues festivals: South Italy Blues Connection (VI-VIII editions) in Matera, Malcesine Blues Festival (VIII-IX-X-XI editions), Festival Blues di Finale Ligure, Blues Made in Italy (VIII & X edition), Forlì Blues Festival, Lodi Blues Festival.
