About His Coming Day
His Coming Day was formed in 2004 by siblings Chris(Bass & Vocals) and Jennifer Correa(Drums), Daniel Willey(Guitar & Vocals) and Josh McClanahan(Guitar) as a alternative rock band from Palmdale, CA. The band focused on writing and playing shows around the Antelope Valley, sharpening their live performance and altering their sound with more of a harder edge. from 2004 to 2009 the founding members remained the same, but Daniel would move to acting as the bands frontman, whille the group enlisted Cody Montgomery on guitar, while adding a third guitarist, Ricky Doll (Ex-Shipshape And Bristol Fashion). Muscially, "HCD" would take on a southern rock feel, with heavier riffs and vocal patterns. Then, in the fall of 2009 Jena and Cody would both part ways with the band, and Ethan Wagner would be recruited to hold down drums. Once again, the sound changed and the band entered the studio with Joel Hatcher, to record their first EP, "Hellion", which was released independantly on February 5th, 2011. During this period, Ricky and Daniel both left the band and Chris would fil lthe postition of lead vocals. Daniel Green (Ex-Empire Of Light) and Chris Diaz (Ex-Closer To The Fall) would take over guitar duties will Josh moved to bass. Currently the band is in pre-production for the yet-to-be-named follow to Hellion which will be released in the summer of 2012. This EP will feature far more aggressive melodic hardcore sound, while still maintaining a southern bite. His Coming Day is an outspoken Christian band both on and off stage. "We love people", states Wagner when asked about the bands belief system. "Our goal as people, both in this band and outside of it, is to let people know that Jesus Christ loves them. Whether they have the same view or not, we aren't trying to beat anyone over the head with a bible and force any kind of agenda on them. We write music we love and we try to show love and grace like we've been shown. I think this next EP is a story of growth and changing. A coming of age to find that we've all made mistakes and we're all learning." His Coming Day is on Twitter.com/HisComingDay @HisComingDay MySpace.com/hiscomingday
