Vastag Csaba fiatal kora óta zenével és énekléssel foglalkozik. Hosszú ideig rock-zenekarok énekese volt, akikkel Európa számos országát bejárta. Közel két évig a RapSzínHáz társulatával lépett fel, majd a Popdaráló című műsorban láthatták a tévénézők. A széles körű ismertséget és népszerűséget 2010-ben az X-Faktor hozta meg a számára, ahová a testvérével, Tamással együtt jelentkezett. A több hónapos komoly versenyt 2010 decemberében Csaba nyerte meg. A győzelem óta alaposan felpörgött az élete; azóta itthon, valamint a környező országokban is fellépésről-fellépésre jár, dalait szívesen játsszák a helyi és az országos rádióadók, a kint élő magyarok meghívására Londonban is koncertet adott. 2012 és 2013 folyamán „Gyere Velem” elnevezésű turnéja keretében tizenkét alkalommal került sor élő zenekaros koncertekre az ország különböző városaiban. 2014. március 1-jén nagy sikerű, teltházas lemezbemutatót tartott a SYMA csarnokban. Azóta „Conecto” című élő zenekaros turnéjával járja az országot. Három szólólemeze jelent meg; az első tripla platina, a második aranylemez lett az eladott példányszámok alapján. Legutóbbi CD-je a 2013 decemberében megjelent Conecto című album, amely az óta rászolgált a platinaminősítésre. A lemezen a különböző stílusú dalok között többnek a létrehozásában Csaba is közreműködött dalszerzőként vagy szövegíróként. Csaba számos rangos díjat nyert az elmúlt években, többek között kétszer lett a legjobb férfi előadó a Bravo Otto szavazáson és kétszer kapott Ballantine’s Fonogram Különdíjat Az Év Férfi Énekese kategóriában. Öccsével, Vastag Tamással közös duettjük 2012-ben Fonogram Az Év Dala díjat kapott, a dalból készült videoklipet a Transilvanian Music Awardson Az Év Legjobb Magyar Videoklipjének választották. A 2012. október 27-én a Moulin Rouge-ban tartott közös koncertjük az Év magyar klubkoncertje lett 2012-ben. Az éneklés mellett Csaba a tánc területén is bizonyított. 2013-ban partnerével, Mármarosi Tündével megnyerte a Szombat Esti Láz táncversenyét, olyan emlékezetes produkciókat bemutatva, mint például a kortárs rumba vagy a klasszikus keringő. Vastag Csaba rendszeresen szerepel a Veszprémi Petőfi Színház SingSingSing showjában, a budapesti Madách Színházban megkapta a “József és a színes szélesvásznú álomkabát” című darabban a Fáraó szerepét, amelyet az óta is telt házas előadásokon játszik. 2014 nyarán a velencei Esztrád VíziSzínházban a Casanova Night Musical címszerepét alakította. A művészeti tevékenységen túlmenően fontos feladatának tekinti a hátrányos helyzetben lévők támogatását, számos jótékonysági akcióban vesz részt. A közönséggel a Facebook oldalán keresztül tart rendszeres kapcsolatot. Jelenleg az oldalnak több mint 300 ezer szimpatizánsa van, és ez a szám folyamatosan nő. From his early ages Csaba Vastag has devoted himself to music and singing. For a long time he was singer of different rock bands, who he travelled to several European countries with. For almost two years he had acted in RapSzínHáz (RapTheatre), and then he was on screen in Popdaráló (a music entertainment and quiz show on television). His wide range popularity was brought by X-Factor in 2010. He applied for the show with his younger brother, Tamás. Csaba won this serious competition that lasted for several months. Since the victory his life has speeded up; he has numerous performances in his home and the surrounding countries; the local and national radio stations are pleased to play his songs. Hungarians living in Great Britain also invited him to give a concert in London. In 2012 and 2013 he delivered twelve highly succesful live music concerts in several Hungarian cities in course of the ’Gyere Velem’ (‘Come with me’) tour. On 1st March 2014 he launched his new album in the sold out SYMA concert hall. Since then he is on tour with the ‘Conecto’ album with his live band all over the country. He published three solo records; the first became triple platinum, the second gold disc according to the number of sold copies. His last CD titled Conecto appeared in December 2013 and it earned platinum qualification. Csaba participated in the creation of some songs of different styles as a song-writer or as a lyricist on the album. Csaba has won several prestigious awards during the past few years. Among others he was twice the best male singer by the Bravo Otto Award and he also received twice the Special Award in the category of Male Singer of the Year of the Ballantine’s Fonogram Award. The duet performed with his younger brother won the title of the Song of the Year of the Fonogram Award in 2012, and the clip made of this song was chosen as The Best Hungarian Video Clip on the Transylvanian Music Awards. Their concert held on 27th October 2012 in the Moulin Rouge became the Club Concert of the Year. Besides singing, Csaba proved his talent in the field of dance as well. In 2013 he won the dance competition called Szombat Esti Láz (‘Let’s Dance’) with his dance partner, Tünde Mármarosi. They presented memorable performances such as a contemporary rumba or a classical waltz. Csaba Vastag performs regularly in the SingSingSing show of Petőfi Theatre in Veszprém. He plays the pharaoh in the ’Joseph and the amazing technicolor dreamcoat’ in Madách Theatre in Budapest. In summer 2014 he played the main role in the Casanova Night Musical in Esztrád VíziSzínház in Velence. Moreover his artistic activities he considers important to support the underprivileged, he takes part in many charitable actions. He communicates with his fans via his official site on Facebook, that has more than 300 thousands likes and this number is continuously increasing.
