Bridging the gap between accessible sounds and the sub-terrain of electronic music, Australian born and raised DJ Paul Scott strikes a deliberate balance between underground and over ground. Unconcerned with labels he dances thoughtfully between the two delivering sets that range from dark and driving to, warm, upbeat and energetic. It’s an unpretentious versatility that has earned him the dance floor tick of approval consistently.

Developing his foundation from the globe’s notorious rave diggers like Jamie Jones, KANT, Eats Everything and M.A.N.D.Y, Paul Scott frequents a selection of unique tech-driven events in Western Australia while visiting venues across Asia like Home Club & CATO in Singapore as well as joining the Sisters crew in Brooklyn NYC late last year. Consolidating his influences and working tirelessly, Paul’s driven support duties for artists such as Justin Martin, Kolombo, Oliver Huntemann and more as well as co-founded Perth’s MVMNT and Fine Art parties; helping to grow the community and culture for techno, tech house and deep sounds in his home city.

2014 saw him take out the runner up spot in the Vicious Records & Madison Avenue ‘Don’t Call Me Baby’ remix competition, pushing a darker angle on the classic record and gaining him solid recognition from one of Australia’s longest standing independent electronic music labels. In 2016 his remix of LO99’s Aria #1 “Make Me Feel” on Medium Rare Records sent a firm introduction to the Australian electronic music landscape and set the scene for the release of his upcoming debut EP; a dark groove-based journey with a steady wave of Paul Scott playfulness, embracing the underground whilst capturing the imagination of even the most stubborn dance floor. From the studio to the dj booth his forward-thinking sonic appeal continues to grow with no signs of slowing in 2017.
