Blaze The Nation * Burn Turn Productions Band Manager: Dennis Hartley (575)649-4727 dhartley@nmsu.edu Band History The band was started by Dennis Hartley in 2008. After completing his post-secondary education and establishing his own businesses he felt it was time to bring together a band in which his true passion for rock and reggae music could be expressed. The band played their first show on St. Patrick’s Day 2009 and to date has played over 100 live performances. Along with his experience as a country guitarist, Dennis brought together a group of very diverse musicians: Connor - a rock and metal guitarist, Corey - a jazz drummer, Chris - a funkadelic bassist and Anthony - a freestyle hip-hop artist. The band was later joined by Wade, adding his talent as a percussionist. By tapping into their own individual talents, the group was inspired to write music that formed their creative, unique sound. The band has now mastered over 35 original songs, as well as adding the BTN style to a favorite cover list of rock and reggae songs by Sublime, The Expendables, Slightly Stoopid, Alice In Chains, Cross Canadian Ragweed and 311, just to name a few. In addition to playing regular club and community bookings, BTN plays many private parties which has created an enthusiastic following and has expanded their fan base. With the love of their music and hard work, they have become a favorite local band. Blaze The Nation now looks forward to spreading their good vibes across the nation!
