About the Midnight Lycan Party

2008-2011 R.I.P. THE almighty Midnight Lycan Party are a blistering riff-heavy homage to rock’s underground legacy. The genre-defying three-piece are a live phenomenon with a dark subversive heart that probably should carry a Government health warning. In short they are everything a cutting edge rock band should be, but rarely are - volatile, provocative and stimulating, with a truly sinister edge. Hot on the heels of post hardcore bands such as Pulled Apart By Horses, the Stoke outfit offer a gleaming sense of hope to the British music scene. Frontman and guitarist Paul Baggaley, drummer Matthew Bowker and bass player Lee Stubbs met while studying music together. They quickly earned some kudos through decent support slots with the likes of The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster, The Damned and Towers of London, and more recently Dinosaur Pile-Up and Japanese Voyeurs. Heart-stopping tracks such as High Horse deliver slabs of scuzzed-up guitar and ferocious vocals, arranged around amp-melting riffs that implant themselves in the brain. Don’t pass up on the invite – it promises to be some bash! ''Garage band from Stoke-on-Trent'' 2005-2011. Game over. https://themlp.bandcamp.com
