About Sea Of Lions

For a young band, if taken at face value this could look like another group of hopeful, fresh faced musicians trying to make the mountainous climb to success. But scratch beyond the surface to find that Sea Of Lions are far from unachieved. Writing they’re Debut EP ‘I OVERCAME, I SURVIVED’ in less than a year and releasing it to flawless reviews from fans and webzines marked the beginning of something for Sea Of Lions. Followed by D.I.Y Tours, glowing Live Reviews and Powerful Performances from London to Glasgow. Sharing stages with some of the top unsigned bands in the UK such as Young Guns and Francesqa, this band have given a fine example of why they won’t go unnoticed for too long. DEAD PRESS:‘I Overcame, I Survived’; such an appropriate title for a band whose demo had their name being thrown about as “another pop-punk band”. Raucous burst of noise which quickly transforms into intense, sharp blasts of melody with a roughly cut edge that Nirvana would be proud of. Sea Of Lions have overcame, and will most definitely survive. ( 9/ 10 ) HEVY PETAL: Sheffield quintet Sea Of Lions are making a name for themselves in a local scene garnishing some of the finest bands in the country and it’s no surprise with an EP like this. With a catchy as fuck choruses and endings capable of making even Stephen Hawking jump. 2010 - 2012
