Mersa

Mersa is Old School metal in the style of Iron Maiden, Metallica, and Judas Priest. Guitar Harmonies, heavy riffs, and powerful vocals are common throughout Mersa's music. Mersa was formed in Tucson back in 2001. At the time it seemed the old school style of metal was dying out and Mersa was determined to keep it going. 2001 - 2007 saw Mersa playing many Tucson shows. In 2007 the band's founder, Kevin Hughes, moved to Phoenix and reformed the band in the Valley of the Sun. With a final lineup change adding Duncan Campbell as their new drummer and Eric Kalocin on bass, Mersa is up and running again with new original material and the Sound the Alarms single available on iTunes and Amazon.
