Bruce Piephoff

Bruce Piephoff is a native of N.C. and has been living there off and on his whole life. He has recorded 21 albums of original material, from vinyl to CDs, over a long career of over 40 years. He also has published 2 books of poetry. With some formal study(M.F.A. in creative writing from UNC-G) and a '68 Martin D-28, he set out while a student at UNC- Chapel Hill to travel around the country and play little bars and coffeehouses in the tradition of Woody and Ramblin Jack and Townes. He has also played the Kennedy Center, Merlefest, Kerrville Folk Festival, Woodsongs Old Time Radio Hour, The Bitter End and lots of other venues sharing the stage with Steve Forbert, Chuck Brodsky, Tom Paxton, Riders In The Sky, Greg Allman, Hot Tuna and many others along the way.
