Rainbow In Rock

Rainbow In Rock are a five piece playing tribute to the very best music of Deep Purple & Rainbow featuring some of the most talented musicians from some of the hardest working and most loved Classic Rock and Metal covers bands in London and Home Counties. The band consists of Tamas Originally from Budapest, Hungary, Tamas has been singing in various covers/tribute bands on the London music scene for the last few years (including Stargazer, Logicaltramp and Progfathers among others), while also participating in some exciting recording projects such as the metal opera Richard Campbell's Frankenstein. Gus Gus has spent his entire adult life, which amounts to many years, playing, performing and recording his guitar with many different projects and bands and is currently in another band with Tamas called Rocktopus and also in an Originals band called Auburn, who for the last 3 years have supported Jefferson Starship in the UK. Pablo Pablo took up the drums in the early eighties after seeing Peter Criss playing with Kiss. Having played in numerous bands, Pablo’s drumming highlights include supporting death metal giants Deicide at the London Astoria, appearing on Channel 4’s Born Sloppy and touring the UK supporting black metal luminaries Venom. Gus 2 Gus, or Gus 2 as he is known, currently also plays bass for top London metal covers band Metalworks, and is also an ex-member of Prezence. Andy Andy has spent his life making music of one sort or another and, in the past few years, has earned a crust teaching the piano and playing the organ at the local crematorium. However, in November 2013, after a particularly boozy evening, Andy found that he had accidentally joined Camden institution Metalworks as keyboard player. And so he may now be found every Sunday evening in the Monarch on Chalk farm road striving manfully to make himself heard above the 'aircraft taking off' levels of volume of the rest of the band and playing a hugely enjoyable and always well received selection of rock and metal covers. A nice surprise with this band was a successful appearance at a very muddy Glastonbudget festival in the summer. Another highlight of this year back playing rock music has been the gigs, including larger ones such as the Islington O2, Andy has played with Guns 2 Roses; a tribute band so like the original that more than one old friend has mistaken them for the real thing and offered congratulations for having 'made it'! Andy is very much enjoying playing this great music with his talented band mates in Memento and hopes you enjoy it too!
