LOVESTRUCK ROBOT Within the first week of their debut album release in April 2011, “I Wanna Be In A Band,” Lovestruck Robot beat out more than 300 bands and won the Florida Grammy Showcase the opening night of the 2011 Florida Music Festival & Conference. The band received positive feedback from program directors, distribution contacts, music industry experts, and the general public. Since then, this Orlando based band’s following has grown in both physical and online presence and continues to have a solid following. Some industry personnel have described the band’s sound as a collaboration of Maroon 5, Justin Timberlake, and Lenny Kravitz. Lovestruck Robot shot a music video for the title track, “I Wanna Be In a Band.” The video is a tongue-in-cheek description of the stereotype musicians often have and how they are treated before and after “making it big.” In February 2012 the band was featured as “Band of the Month” on Jango Airplay and in April performed and interviewed on air at WPRK 91.5 for the “Local Heroes” show. The Lovestruck Robot single from the 1st album “Do It All for the Dream” had been featured on Sirius XM “20 on 20″ in regular rotation attaining top ten status on multiple occasions with over 500 spins. The exposure has resulted in more downloads in the band’s music and an increase in the fan base. Lovestruck Robot appeared on Tampa’s WTSP-TV “Studio 10” Morning Show as musical guests, performing “Do It All for the Dream” and “Sunday With You” live, immediately receiving tremendous feedback from viewers. They have also performed at the House of Blues, Hard Rock Cafe, and many other regional entertainment venues. After attaining regional success with their 1st release, the band has just released their new single, “Random Hi5s”. The hit is being played on Sirius XM “20 on 20” making this their second single in a year on the internationally played satellite radio station. In the music video, Lovestruck Robot’s playful sense of humor and fun attitudes really set the mood for the song.
