Motor City Maniacs formed in November 2014 and is currently based out of the Durham Region of Ontario right next to “Canada’s, Hollywood North -Toronto, Ontario”. Based in the heart of Canada’s music industry promotes access too many talented artists and resources. In early August 2014 two of these talented artists, a guitarist & drummer who had been working together for more than 15 years, decided to recruit a singer to work with.
The first rehearsal was a complete success although the band still did not have a bassist. The singer asked a fellow musician and former band mate to come out and jam. As it turned out the bassist had known the singer for about 15 years as well and had been in several bands together. The band was now complete.
Song writing began immediately with an emphasis on their 1st release and HIT SONG, “SUPERCHARGED”, this song exemplifies freedom & reckless fun with a southern Metal sound. Immediately, during the final touches, the band, perhaps inspired by a bit of excitement, dark reflection and maybe the right blend of whiskey and beer wrote, “TRAIN OF SOULS”. It was clear the band had the right formula and lineup to take on the next level. MOTOR CITY MANIACS was BORN!
