About Starkoo
Starkoo is a very popular partymusic producer in The Netherlands.
In 1968 Marco was born in Amersfoort, the Netherlands. He had been taken singing lessons in the 80's and after that he was showing his talent on stage, also in his own café in Haarlem.
In the 90's he was performing in the popular "de Apres-skihut" in Rotterdam, which has been the start for careers of famous apres-ski acts such as Het Feestteam and DJ Galaga. It was there that Marco had met Marco Leeuwis, one of the founders of the DJ Galaga project, and there they have decided to make a double sided partyhit called Annabel and Suzanne.
The name Marco was then changed to Starkoo.
After the succes of the first single that they have produced, the next single Laat Me Nu Toch Niet Alleen was produced, which was also a huge success in the partyscene. Starkoo decided to produce more songs in the genre and that was the beginning of a succesfull story with songs such as Zo Ver Weg, Een Nacht Alleen, Laat Me Nu Toch Niet Alleen and an album called Feest In Je Moerstaal.
With extra producers in the team Starkoo has been releasing 3 albums and numerous singles so far. After Feest In Je Moerstaal, Ik Wil Je (Feest In Je Moerstaal 2) was released with the single under the identical name. The third album under Starkoo XL - Ik Ben Wie Ik Ben was released in 2006. Starkoo XL is a live band with their own repetoire.
