About Naomi Campbell Music
Naomi Campbell is a Singer/Songwriter, Sound Engineer and Music Journalist from Co.Tyrone, Northern Ireland.
Her interest in music was first peaked by her parent’s love of Country & Western - Dolly Parton and Johnny Cash were always on the family stereo. This was soon to be combined with her own interests in artists such as Blondie, Fleetwood Mac and The Beatles.
In 2011, Naomi moved to England to study Commercial Music Production and Journalism at the University of Chester. In her spare time she would often perform covers accompanied by an acoustic guitarist. This culminated with a showcase on the University Campus in 2013 supporting 2012 x-factor contestant Lucy Spraggan.
Whilst at University Naomi also put herself forward for opportunities for outside campus studio-work. This included 6 Weeks work placement at Edge Studio in Cheshire. During her placement there, Naomi contributed to the live recording of a documentary surrounding 80s band New Order.
After graduating in 2014 Naomi worked as assistant engineer for Liverpool based producer Russell Cottier, since then she has worked on several recording sessions including universal award-winning Canadian artist Ashley Fayth’s new album “Take Back the Fire”.
Graduating with a 2:1 Bachelor of the Arts degree in 2014, Naomi moved to Liverpool to pursue her interests in sound engineering and performing live. Naomi has since performed in venues such as The Cavern Club, The Lantern Theatre and Ma Egerton’s Stage door. Naomi accompanies herself on acoustic guitar and has performed solo sets in Northern Ireland, Liverpool, Manchester, Winsford and more recently in Boston and Nashville, USA.
In June 2015 Naomi began recording her debut EP ‘Led By My Heart’, the EP was released in July 2015. The EP is available now on iTunes, Spotify and Amazon. Naomi has recently released the debut music video for the title track from the EP “Led By My Heart” which is now available to view on YouTube.
As well as writing, recording and performing regularly, Naomi currently teaches elements of performance and music production at various youth music projects in Liverpool. Naomi is currently working on her next release.
