About Blue Child Collective
A fluid groove collaboration born from the West Australian coastline, Blue Child Collective's easy flowing, uplifting oceanic songcraft "evokes the gentle rhythms and roaring freedom of Australia’s seaside" (Happy Mag).
Fronted by Dan White, an enthusiastic collaborator, multi-instrumentalist and fingerstyle artisan conjuring soundscapes spanning raging rhythmic grooves to bluesy licks and ethereal trips, this is music with purpose, reminding us that we're all, in essence, children of this little blue planet, life is simple and connection essential, a theme which is evident in his thought-provoking lyrics and the Collective's engrossing live performances.
With 2 EPs released in 2015 and the Collective's debut album, “Saturn Saw The Seaside”, recorded in Corsica, France while on tour released Sept 2016, Blue Child Collective continues to tour regionally and internationally in order to share the love and connect the dots, using live performances, records, music videos and documentaries to promote the “culture of connection”.
2017 is unfolding as the biggest year on the road yet, with the duo (including Kiwi artist Emjay Angeni) racking up an Autumn East Coast Tour which included multiple performances at Bluesfest Byron Bay, a North West Regional Tour and the current “Bungalow Baby” National Tour - a 40 date expedition to promote their latest collaboration with videographer David Owen Blackley & Dutch animator Chris Liefting, which will lead into an NZ Tour to round out a huge 12 months. Following 9 months of shows throughout Australia and Europe to promote the release of “Saturn Saw The Seaside” last year, Blue Child Collective attracts artists of all forms worldwide to offer up engaging, thought provoking shows and releases, blending flavours from many backgrounds in order to showcase the oneness of art, humanity and the universe as a whole.
Having supported major touring acts such as The Cat Empire, Sticky Fingers, Caravana Sun, OKA, Band Of Frequencies and many more, Blue Child Collective are far from strangers to the stage, and intend to continue bringing their vibes to the global community through extensive touring, collaboration and innovation.
Continuing to grow and evolve as group, Blue Child Collective is more than just one man and a guitar, but a collective creation contributing to the culture of connection.
