About Barely Royal

Charles Broom, aka Barely Royal, is a 20 year old Producer/DJ hailing from Guildford in Surrey who’s musical approach to an underground sound is starting to turn some heads with an array of diverse releases. With a long list of recent gigs including two shows on the My Nu Leng & M8’s tour, Fabric main room and support slots for Charlie XCX, Preditah & MJ Cole - he’s no stranger to a set of decks and with Outlook, Boomtown & Lockdown festival all in the pipeline, 2017 is looking to be very exciting for this young artist. His latest release, ‘Numbers’, forthcoming on My Nu Leng & FineArt (A.K.A Friction)’s new imprint, Maraki Records - combines eery atmospheres, enticing vocals and aggy basslines to form a vicious attack of audio. Alongside this comes Turno’s powerful Drum & Bass twist which brings the best sides of Dancefloor and Jump Up together to destroy raves! The future is looking very bright for this young talent with an arsenal of new music just waiting to be unleashed and a range of dates in the diary, you should be expecting to see the name Barely Royal a lot more often. soundcloud.com/barelyroyaluk twitter.com/barelyroyaluk mixcloud.com/barelyroyaluk
