Harkens

Harkens was started by Ryan Chambers and Bryan David. The two met while working in a recording studio when they were young, back in 2005. After various musical endeavors, Bryan moved away from Dallas, Texas and reconnected with Ryan. It was then, they decided to start writing material together. These songs slowly, with delicate precision, grew into an album and needed a direction. Nearly 3 years later, they grew their sound into a band. Quin Tinling, Collin Gouldin and Jordan Sutton were added to help finalize the sound of what now is truly Harkens. Harkens started work on their record, Weightless, in 2014 at Bryan David's Anthem Recording. A slightly new direction had formed into a more synth and effects driven record, but still maintaining the gigantic sound the band has always strived to achieve. For the new album, Harkens enlisted the help from Grammy Nominated John Greenham (Bad Suns, Capital Cities, Young & Sick) to take the band to the next level. Weightless was released on 3/3/15 for digital download on iTunes, Spotify and all major sites. The band is currently in the studio recording new songs for their next album due out Spring of 2016.
