About Sergej Auto

SERGEJ AUTO
Almost 5 years after Sergej's first appearance in the german music scene, no one really knows how this all started - but everybody wants a piece of the czech-mix...

From the press release:

In 2001 Sergej Auto published his debut album "Achtung, Auto!" on the Frankfurt label saasfee* while working as a composer for czech animation films. With "Achtung, Auto!" Sergej introduced playful melodies and connected the czech animation scene with modern electronic music. The album was welcomed with so much euphoria by the press that it was celebrated as a new east west connection.
On his first tour, Sergej captivated his listeners with an audiovisual journey full of ideas and subtle humor, using theremin and syntheszisers to accompany his music and animations.

In 2002 Sergej catapulted himself again directly into the hearts of his fans with the release of his second album "music, ok!". His mixtures of dance-able film music in the form of Pan Tau meets Electropop leaves the audiance always wanting for more. The title track became
a club hit, and Richie Hawtin enlisted the help of the Czech on his much praised record "Closer ton edit". Sergej's concerts of 2002 showed what club music can sound like while he held the stage as a one-man miracle-band with a mixture of groovy minimal techno, dirty electro, and pop. Sergej, skillfully positioned himself between all niches and let the roof and the audiance tremble.

With his following EP "march OF the dirty robots" Sergej showed his latest interpretation of club music. Like dancing tin-boxes rolling, puffing and pounding through the clubs, fueled by a handful of acid and a mighty big portion of
bass. In June 2006 Sergej Auto released his third album "incoming goods of ACRES GIANTS" on saasfee *.

SERGEJ AUTO LIVE ONE 2006

For the "incoming goods ACRES GIANTS" tour Sergej Auto unpacks everything to the last beat from his well stuffed rhythmic briefcase. The delicate
knitted hymns with proper pop appeal mutate in the course of the concert to an explosion of future radio, boogie electro, and insanity, ending with the entire club jumping to the ceiling. Sergej maltreats his Synthesziser while
singing, walking the stage, and mimicing a calm entertainer. His set rolls straight from the speakers, dry as a bone but nevertheless always with a wink.
