My name is Cate Rox, I am 25 years old and music is my religion.

I have always wanted to be a singer. Ever since I can remember. I began to sing before I was able to talk. That’s how big a part music plays in my life. Growing up I started to write down all my thoughts and feelings, writing and composing my very first actual song when I was seventeen. Apart from me still writing all songs myself, a lot has changed since then. I have made my first steps in this crazy music business by releasing my debut album “Mind vs Heart” in June 2016, which was quite the wild mixture between rock,- pop, -and electro. My influences and personal style have evolved a lot since then. Working on my second album “Fire Lungs”, which came out on June 8th of 2018, I have developed a more coherent style. This album no longer features any pop elements, it’s definitely a rock album! Fire was the lead concept behind the lyrics and inspiration of the album. It represents passion, pain and suffering, but also light and energy. FIRE LUNGS is a reflection of my experience in the music industry over the past few years. The false promises, the frustration and anger, as well as the mental and emotional struggles that came from that. But also the hope for change and the reignited spark within myself. Like a phoenix rising from it’s ashes, I am as well rising from the ashes of my past. The bridges I have burned as well as the strings that had tied me down. This album represents a fresh start for me. Not just musically. I hope you will all enjoy my new songs, I am very proud of them!
