About The Odorants

The Odorants
Formed in 1995 in Finland. The Odorants debuted with the EP Tales from the Underground (1998), earning national radio play with “Not Over You.” Their music was later featured on Finnish TV’s Extreme Duudsonit, and releases included the sold-out Sing When You Are Copulating (2001, Mörkö Records). In 2002, they signed with major label BMG Finland, releasing Beat The Odorants (2003) and the singles “This Night” and “Late Night Call,” with videos aired on MTV. They were later dropped by BMG. After two more EPs and their second full-length Counting Wolves (2007), the band went on hiatus in 2008.
In 2021, founding members Anssi (vocals, guitar) and Jaakko (drums) returned with bassist Pekka "PC" Jääskeläinen (Circle) and released When Tigers Used To Smoke (Harava Records). The follow-up Love Songs Never Die (Striped Records, 2024), produced by Perry Leenhouts of The Travoltas, spawned four music videos, fan favorites like “Funeral” and “Car Radio,” and a second vinyl pressing within six months. The band toured Italy for the first time in 2024, including a set at the Punk Rock Raduno festival.
In 2025, Andrea Manges (The Manges) joined as rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist. The new lineup’s debut recording, is the single We Belong Dead, released in fall 2025 on Mom’s Basement Records (USA) and Striped Records (Italy).
