Benjamin Neil

Hailing from the coast of South Florida, Benjamin Neil began making music as a teenager, fronting a locally successful pop-punk band and working with various production companies, where he quickly learned the necessary skills to grow a music career. He began his solo career in response to the need for entertainment in the bars, restaurants, and coffeehouses of West Palm Beach. Utilizing a Boss RC-300 loop station and Roland SPD-1 kick pedal, his unique blend of traditional singer/songwriter pop, ‘indie exuberance’, and ‘raw, rhythmic sensibility’, coupled with his ability to capture the sound of the city, earned him residencies at various locations and the foundation to take his music further afield.

In 2016, Ben teamed up with classmates and local musicians to form ROCKET TO ANYWHERE, a band that would blend his love of indie, rock, and new wave pop. ROCKET TO ANYWHERE went on to appear on BalconyTV Miami, now Studio Road TV, reaching #1 on both the local and international charts with the first public performance of their single ‘Sleepless’. After that successful debut, the band brought their high energy live show to stages all over Florida, garnering support for their brand of ‘coast rock’. In 2016, the band hit major streaming platforms with an acoustic version of ‘Golden’, along with an accompanying music video that solidified their sand-in-your-hair, sea-air-fueled place in the indie-pop mainstream. They released their first full band single, ‘Mirror', later that year, recorded in collaboration with Full Sail University, to their first national radio play and highest streaming numbers to date. The following shows, as well as their beach-infused sound, grabbed the attention of Florida’s largest waterfront music festival, Sunfest (www.sunfest.com), in the summer of 2017. Performing on the bill with such acts as Tori Kelly, Jon Bellion, Blink-182!, and more, the band saw their largest audience to date (2,500+) in their hometown of West Palm Beach. This appearance was accompanied by a PBS feature on their show ‘Art Loft’, bringing the band to a massive television audience. ROCKET TO ANYWHERE signed with Panacea Records in late 2017, immediately following that with a new single, ‘F M W T Y’, and a new arena-ready sound. The release of the ‘Coast EP’ in early 2019 marked the band’s first mainstream success on major platforms. With over 50,000 total streams in the first 5 days of release, the lead single ‘Sleepless’ found itself featured on over 200 curated Spotify playlists, and heard on national radio. The band has a planned new release with Panacea Records, expected late 2020.

Most recently, Ben has found success as a full-time musician and performer after moving to the Orlando area. He is a vocalist at both Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort, as well as an arranger, performer, and music director with renowned production company Entertainment Central (www.entertainmentcentralproductions.com). The connections formed from this work have earned him residencies and stages at venues such as Disney Springs’ Homecomin’ Kitchen, Splitsville, and Planet Hollywood, the Loews resorts at Universal Orlando, Sanford Brewing Company, and more. These stages have afforded him audiences of 100+ two-to-three nights per week, solidifying his place in the Orlando music scene. His most recent project, Dublin Beat, produced in conjunction with Entertainment Central, just completed their first national tour to sold-out audiences. He is currently working on a debut solo release expected summer 2021.
