Avenoir

AveNoir (formerly known as Barehands) rest in the palms of three Philadelphia musicians; Manuel Arocho (bass), Joseph Keim (drums) and Henry Zhang (guitar). The trio met at the University of the Arts on Valentine’s Day in 2015. It was their love for musical legends J. Dilla, Robert Glasper, Kings of Leon, Chrome Els, Mark Guiliana, and many others that resulted in frequent jam sessions turning three friends into an official band in August 2015. Drawing on inspirations from ranging Soca to Maloya to Trap; and the usage of live samples, driving rhythms, and atmospheric density; AveNoir creates a sound that fuses the genres of Hip-hop, Neo-Soul, Progressive Rock, and Modern Jazz. AveNoir welcomes you to open your mind to curiosity and explore the sonic palette that the world offers.
