Belle Elmore

Belle Elmore was formed in the North East of England in the early part of the 21st century by several like minded souls looking to jam and just play some cover songs for a lark, maybe gig a little if opportunity knocked. But the thirst for more was overwhelming...

It was decided that our own original music was the path to take. Since then we have found pleasure in creating and discovering our own sound, stemming from our very eclectic tastes and influences (everything from Miss. Louise's passion for 80's stadium rock, to Brighty's adoration of Eva Cassidy and Slayer, to Robin's love of ska and reggae, Dayve's punk leanings and Tom's metal and funk fusion) which now manifests itself in the form of some kind of beautiful mutant pop-rock creature, clawing its way onto the local music scene.

We live to gig and will play anywhere and everywhere we can; from a local village fair to the O2 Academy Newcastle, supporting the likes of Less Than Jake, Goldfinger and Save Ferris. We've played alongside lots of other great local bands, both as the supporting act and as headliners.

After a few line up changes over the aeons, and the reasonably recent addition of a second guitar, we currently consist of five members:

Miss. Louise Bell - Vocals
Mr. Andy Bright - Lead guitar
Mr. Tom Coleman - Bass guitar
Mr. Dayve Blythe - Rhythm Guitar
Mr. Robin Kennedy - Drum Captain

Miss. Louise is usually the wordsmith, conjuring lyrics from interest and experience such as love of red wine, equality in the workplace, the criminal underworld and serial killers (you know, the usual stuff) with the rest of the band filling in the space around the melodies at practice.

In 2020 we plan to get back into the studio to record an album and we hope to spread our wings and perform at as many gigs, festivals and shows as we can.
