James Taylor

Another fabulous evening in the company of this musical genius and extra special to spend it at Edinburgh Castle. Great set list and the ever-present quirky sense of humour made for a truly memorable evening. As with most events, the merch was seriously overpriced (£80 for a fairly unimaginative zipper hoodie).

James Taylor made it a point to thank us for coming out to see him at an open-air venue during pouring rain. He values his fans and respected our effort to be there and to remain there. I saw him at this same venue last year. Enjoyed it then and enjoyed it this year too. His theme last year was "travelling" songs, and when he mentioned it I recalled that fact. This years' theme was "recovery" songs. Reflecting back on what were in some cases very hard times having to do with substance abuse, he credited the drug-induced death of John Belushi as a wake up call for him that saved him. I am thankful for him 40+ years later that he wrestled that beast and won, and that last night I was again able to enjoy his talent in person that I have appreciated myself for ~60 years. May God continue to bless you, James!

A wonderful show. Everyone in the audience felt better and happier as they headed home compared to when they arrived. A very positive uniting kind of gathering. Something the country needs more of. We really are all one like James said. He also included the millworker song and the video showed the story of working in the Lowell Massachusetts Mills. Excellent and accurate history. Well told. He talked honestly about his drug experience and the effect of John Belushi's death, causing him to begin a path of sobriety. And there was so much more to this beautiful evening. San Diego provided its normal. Excellent weather. And the the rady shell performed well, providing us an excellent evening. Let me not forget the All-Stars, James orchestra and band. They provided excellent vocal performances. The instruments were varied at all Top-notch.

James sounds good, very melo show, he was on stage for 90 minutes, a lot of his songs sound alike, he mixed in a couple of Carol King songs, and was very nice. Tickets said show starts at 7:30, but some trio called tiny bits, opened so James didn’t go on until 8:25. I recommend you skip the openers and go in at 8 o’clock.

James Taylor was AMAZING!!! He didn’t have a support act which we loved it was him and his gifted band for two sublime sets. He started on time and wowed us for over two hours !! His voice is still amazing !! It was a night we will never forget. We loved standing at the front for the last part of the concert and seeing him up close. The concert was the best thing I’ve seen since the last time I saw him in Adelaide and 12 years ago when he played with Carol King at the same venue.Two days later I’m still on a high! Thankyou

Maine Savings Amphitheater exceeded my expectations. Taylor sang with a warm familiarity that I can remember from high school, nearly 50 years ago. His music will never grow old. He will be remembered, as Stephen Foster and Irving Berlin are remembered, as quintessentially American in his time. Very proud, as a "boomer," to claim his music for my generation.

Venue only had 1 gate open to enter! Very frustrating! James Taylor was awesome. He talked with the audience, gave insight to the songs, and signed autographs during the break! His voice was just a beautiful as the first time we saw him, in 1976!

I have been to many JT concerts over the years and he was just great last night. Engaging, playful with the audience, and he and his All Star band were tight and well orchestra. I love the duet he did with his son to sing You Can Close Your Eyes. Excellent acoustics at the MGM - great music venue!

In all my years of going to concerts this was the very best of all of them! James Taylor made it seem as though the audience was part of the concert. Talking to us as people not fans. It was the most pleasurable time I have ever had at a concert

Having been to hundreds of concerts (probably 5 or 6 of James' shows), and actually produced some as well, I must say this was the best show I have seen- maybe ever! I don't recall ever seeing him with a 12-piece backup, and they were as good as it gets! Production was top-notch, lights and set were amazing, sound was so clear that I thought I was mixing it myself! And James was so personable, funny (you know his dry sense of humor) and it felt like he was hanging on my patio for the evening. Special bonus was his son singing back up and actually playing a duet as their final number of the encore. This is a definite Must See on this year's tour list!

I love James Taylor to my bones - he still blows audiences away at 74 and last night was no exception. One of the greatest American singer-songwriters ever and a huge influence on me as a musician. So grateful for this man and his artistry. What a transcendent night ❤️

I’ve been in love with a James Taylor’s music for decades and have had happy many moments singing along with him. A lot of us waited a long time to see him on this tour having been cancelled twice. We weren’t disappointed if that could be an option anyway. He could just sit there and play his guitar and sing and I would be in heaven. But of course he had a kick a*s band; musicians that have been around the musical block. What a treat to have them play with James. And you could tell James loved it also as after he gave them a great introduction, he shook their hand or gave them a hug. James still has a great voice and played many of his hits in front of a great stage setting, moving lights, Videos,beautiful pictures. He also is very funny. A wry dry sense of humour. Loved it. Jackson Browne was a treat too. His voice still sounds the same and his band was amazing too. James came on stage and sang the last song of Jackson’s set. We were surprised and so pleased to see him! I have to praise his backup singers. They were all very talented in their own right and some had sung with very famous singers (Aretha etc) We had almost 2hours of James and Co. His encore turned into more than a few beautiful songs one of them being one of my favorites, “Close your Eyes”. The harmonies were very heart warming and beautiful. It was a special evening and I truly hope this is not the last time we see him here again.

Played nearly all his hits. I like how He and Jackson Brown clearly get along and are brothers and music. The lack of one star has nothing to do with James Taylor and most to do with a Saddledome it’s just isn’t a great place for music

He delivered AGAIN! I've seen James play eight times since 1973. Back then, he had himself, his guitar, a mic and a stool. Mid stage. Now, there is an entire entourage of musicians and crew, not to mention technology galore. Still . . . the most important ingredients of all remain consistent - his love for his craft and obviously, his talent. Thanks bringing it all these years, James!

He played for 2+ Hours with one intermission. I’ve seen him more times than i can remember but he plays the same stuff. nonetheless he play to the crowd and satisfied the crowd with the songs we want to hear and stuff he wanted to play. Tanglewood is the best place to hear him play because this is his favorite venue to perform at .
