Under the Olive Trees

Under the Olive Trees is a five-piece alternative/indie rock band from Indianapolis, IN. The band has been together for a little over 3 years, and has quickly built a loyal fan base. The band members bring together a plethora of various musical interests ranging from rock, reggae, metal, and folk to create a unique, magnetic sound that attracts listeners from all musical backgrounds. Their first major milestone came in 2011 when they won a battle of the bands competition at The Gear music venue in Franklin, IN. Their prize was an opportunity to play the Ichthus Music Festival where they garnered attention from people outside of the Indianapolis area. Shortly thereafter, the band released their first full-length album, “It’s the Silence”, in September 2011, and continued playing shows both locally and regionally. They have partnered with two not for profit organizations: (1) Saul to Paul Ministries, a biblical drug and rehabilitation program, and (2) Vision of Destiny, an orphanage/school in Kampala, Uganda. The band has played several benefit shows to raise awareness for both of these organizations. Under the Olive Trees is currently in the studio working on a new 5-song EP. The band’s purpose is to bring glory to Jesus Christ in their music and lives. They are in love with Christ and they are set on taking the Gospel to the ends of the earth.
